So this may be kind of dumb, but whatever. Over the past couple of weeks I've been going over old IBS era stuff, and a few days ago I came across a stream I had forgotten about but now totally remember listening to live:
8,500 people watching. Money rolling in, chat isn't full of [MESSAGE DELETED]. All-star cast with appearances from Ralph, Gator, Zidan, Jim, Dame, Andy, Keemstar, the Quartering, Ian Miles Chong, WildGoose Thomas Ellington, Memeology. Maybe not constantly funny, but its 3 half hours of non-superchat content.
Off the top of my head, notable things:
-Shitting on Mundane Matt and the Skeptics.
- IMC comes on the explain his doxing of Goose, Goose comes on with some solid deadpan humor. Also Zidan gets some burns in. BITCOIN ASSASSINS
-Everyone bullies IMC to reveal that Mombot was the one setting up the dox.
-Andy comes on to talk about the Pedo allegations against him being proven to be an op. Andy calls out Tonka for running with the story, which sets up the long road to Knoxsville.
-Andy and IMC make up and tickle each others balls, which leads to their second blowup where IMC SWATs Andy
-Gator Tells a Tonka joke about dead air that actually lands. (Going through old shows, this is very rare)
-Jim links to some crazy guy who photoshops himself into old game shows.
-Ralph, who is drunk but is holding it together, defends having Null on after fans are mad that Jim got doxed.
-Everyone listens to the extend audio of Thomas Smellington get smacked by his wife for stinking so bad it's soaking into the upholstery.
-Thomas the Stank Engine comes on to try and save his nascent streaming carrier and only embarrasses himself
-Ralphs drops a hard R
-The Quarterling comes on and embarrasses himself trying to defend Youtubers shilling for Better Help (G-Fuel just as bad as fake therapy)
Now to be fair to Ralph, having this much stuff in one show was never sustainable with the rate that people were getting burned through, Youtube was never going to let that kind of content go on forever, and Jim was important enough that Ralph was in trouble once Metokur decided to make his own sheckles.
But compare that that to tonight. 400 "people" watching, chat being swept up as hard as possible. More boring boilerplate stuff about the corona vaccine. Ralph having to dance around the clip of himself in Vegas. Seeing his porcine face against and a bed sheet. The same old same old voices saying the same old thing. No fun, no content, no hope
sure that isn’t Kaz. Kaz is legitimately chill/tranquil. I could have a pleasant conversation with him today on any topic.
