I'm sorry if it seems ignorant of me, but why are these more valuable than like using YouTube downloader and converting to mp3? I genuinely want to know, please don't eat me

YouTube quality MP3's are anal dogshit. Spotify quality is already miles beyond YouTube quality, and CDs are even miles beyond that. If you've never heard the difference, try it out with some proper audio equipment and not $3 earbuds from your local poundland, you'll instantly hear it. YouTube enjoys massively compressing every single bit they can to save on space, Spotify prides itself on quality but also has to keep costs down so they still compress it down for most users, CDs need quality to sell well and only compress as much to fit on the disc. If you're a massive autist, there's also FLAC-quality, but I doubt you'd hear the difference between FLAC and CD-quality. YouTube often subdues the bass and high-ends and leaves mostly the middle section of frequencies, making you hear the voice louder than the other frequencies. I'm not a Spotify user so I can't comment on its objective quality.

I am but I'm also not an audiophile so probably not best equipped to comment (my best pair of headphones cost 60 bucks). Spotify recently started offering lossless audio to my pay tier, but I can't say I've noticed much difference to how it sounded before; maybe if I connected to my soundbar instead of headphones I would.

What I can say with absolute confidence is that Spotify's UX is so shit on Android it makes Microsoft look competent, and they won't stop fucking with it.

Give it 15 or so years, they'll be pushing everyone into 'cloud computing' where you'll be priced out of making your own PC and have to pay $30+ a month to 'rent' a virtual PC
Won't ever happen for a multitude of reasons.

Latency exists, and there is absolutely no way you can engineer around it. Doesn't matter how fast you make the hardware, network, or anything else. There is simply no way to design away the speed of causality. This is why the Stadia failed, and its why "Cloudtops" will never be a thing.

Furthermore, the performance needs of the average consumer has retarded in growth significantly over the past decade. Your average Joe just needs a shitty laptop to read emails and browse Facebook, Even more niche stuff like video editing, CAD, and 3D modeling aren't a big deal anymore for people to run on a shitty Wal-Mart laptop. Even gaming isn't pushing the envelope like it used too. Most modern games run just fine on a 1080ti.

If you can do everything you want on some dollar-store brand silicon, why would you bother to rent a cloud machine? You'll still need an edge-device anyways.

Sorry but we're only allowed to blackpill here. Personal computing has fallen, billions must use the cloud.

FLAC quality IS CD quality. Bit-for-bit accurate reproduction.

Some old Spotify trax are 160kbps Vorbis. One of YouTube's encoding formats is 128kbps Opus. To my ears (I can hear Vorbis artifacts up to around 256kbps on my usual set of testing problem samples), I'd take the Opus, provided that I knew the YouTube content was uploaded with lossless audio as it ought to be if you care about fidelity. But most don't. Sometimes it'll be like a transcode of a 100kbps VBR MP3. And so from that basis, sure, prefer the Spotify. But the encoding reality isn't quite that clear.

I noticed this recently with playlists. They introduced tailored playlists which was a hit and now they incorporate it into every fucking thing they can. Playlists I used to frequent and check back on are now tailored around MY music taste and incorporating songs I've ALREADY listened to.

That's not what I want. That's not what most people searching for non-tailored playlists want. I want suggestions for new music. Not a curated list where 50% of the tracks are ones I've already got saved elsewhere.

Same thing with "smart" shuffle, which is just the song radio feature that always existed except now it's an extra toggle between shuffle and sequential play. The neat part is because Spotify is coded by complete spastics there's a delay of several seconds when you toggle smart shuffle on or off so it looks like the app froze, and even once it does say it's off if you skip a track 50:50 odds it turns itself back on again.

This has been a problem since they introduced it like 2 years ago but instead of making it something you enable in settings (like the option to continue after a playlist/album ends with similar content) or removing it until it works properly they just moved on to seeing what else they could break.

To be fair we can only tell there’s latency because we know how things like a mouse and keyboard should work, but if the plan for Windows is for most users to use their computer by talking to it (their marketing says so), then you wouldnt really notice a latency difference since there’s already a delay before the AI agent gets to work.

Latency won't matter if the elites force always online rented PCs "for your own good", latency be damned. If you can't choose alternatives, it doesn't matter if the system is shit.

If we had South Korea-tier internet speeds and infrastructure that'd work but outside of major cities, and in several of the older big cities, there's little fiber and mostly still copper. You can't do cloud computing on internet less than 10MB/s. And what about when Cloudflare shits the bed again? Imagine if every business in America can't do business because some pajeet pushed shitty AI code and breaks everything for a few hours.
they'll just get really strong worded letters like always, remember evergreen? pepperidge farm remembers, also they remember that absolutely nothing happened to the foid that caused billions of damage.

there are research projects on trying to do something like QEC but it will never go forward because it is expensive and it can be used to break the control leash these retarded faggots are trying to put on things, for as much as you can joke about globalism yadda yadda at the end of the day it's biznes and they love when they hit big (ie: taxpayer money), watch jensen's latest interviews, guy is so fucking happy with the AI bubble because it reached the guberment.

“ Only UNEDUCATED RETARDS will "think"
you that you removed anything in that
"FE" game release. All you did was exploit unity engine's backend using mono to restore some generic code in Assembly-CShapr.dll. You NEVER touched the actual denuvo and NEVER devirtualized a single byte in your pathetic life -- all you can do is scratch your ass beside the toilet, FAGGOTS.
Why don't you try the same near a normal non-unity engine game? --Even if it's multiple versions behind the latest, you are only going to shit your pants, BITCHES.
Oh and by the way, your message to the p2p is so fucking hilarious and pathetic when you consider the fact you were CAUGHT multiple times STEALING from it and everyone laughed at your LAME ASSES, there is NOTHING you can do to restore your pride now. After today, everyone is going to send you a nice MIDDLE FINGER online, because nobody cares about some fake, lying, edgy, and cringy KIDS playing hackers -- SUCK IT, WHORES! “

It's hilarious that EMPRESS is/was like 15 years too late with her .nfo beefing, there are virtually no real release groups left, certainly not ones with renown of old and even if there were, this shit is played out to the point that i think no one would care either way. Still kind of a funny little time capsule. All it's missing is some words written in l33t speak.

I'm looking forward to Spotify stuff because some places make their podcasts too damn inaccessible. If you can't have podcasts in MP3 or some familiar format that even Windows Media Player and QuickTime Player will happily accept, I'm not interested in what you have to say.

Quick question I dont have VK and I am trying to get Photoshop and Preimere Pro (No I refuse to get literally anything else, as name me a software that can export frames for "Abridged" content.) I am trying to figure out how to block that Nigger Message from Adobe shutting that shit down.

Edit: I got a copy from RuTracker.

Yeah, good luck to them with that. Talking to PCs will never replace traditional input methods. Sacrifices too much control.

The obvious answer is to build your own cloud. Learn how to self-host shit and build your own cloud. The people that know should write guides on how to do this for people that don’t.

Maybe I should start a blog… STC’s guide to making your own cloud for retarded niggerfaggots.

Maybe it’s the wrong approach, I don't know.

For gaming. Nvidia isn’t the only company making GPUs and I seriously believe that AMD will be happy to fill the void in the consumer market. The problem with that theory is that of components go into making a GPU, it’s really a technological marvel in its own right, kind of like a jet engine, but between competitors and the grey market, things may not be as bleak as they seem.

name me a software that can export frames
Name your frames and FFmpeg can do it. ffmpeg -i video.mkv -ss 4:20 -to 4:20.69 -f image2 '%04d.png' '%04,png' just says how many numbers you want in the filename, becuase it'll write all frames from 4:20 to 4:20.69.
