I keep wondering what people like Red Letter Media would do if their channel got nuked overnight. Somehow they don't seem to have enough foresight to upload their videos to other platforms like Rumble.
yeah, i mean i understand why it might be annoying to move platforms cause you're getting carpet bombed by youtube.
but at the same time if you want to continue your social media endeavors, it's something that you need to do.

youtube has turned into that platform where they are deathly afraid of losing people and advertisers.
and that's not necessarily a bad thing, but it gets to a point where you don't need to give a fuck about what the general public thinks. you'll get a lot of shit for it but it keeps a certain amount of people happy.

i don't know man im just throwing fire here but that's just what i think.

Every time a creator cries about YouTube fucking them over, it's never actually a problem. Worst case scenario is they've just fallen out of fashion, usually of their own doing. If they were that good, the fans will follow them.
B-b-but muh Algorithm!

sooooo what do you guys prefer? torrenting movies from sites like ext.to
or just watching them on sites like cineby or Xprime. curious
I watch movies on XPrime to determine how much of my hard drive it's worth. I like to have a copy of everything I watch, but if a movie sucks, I'll give it as little space as possible.

They don't have to move anything. I'm talking about uploading content to other sites while they're still on Youtube, just in case. It's not like RLM has an exclusive contract with them. This isn't Twitch.

think i worded what you quoted wrong sorry.
but yeah it's a must for any youtuber. even if they get their first community guideline strike WARNING, they should think of having a plan B. because me personally it's only gonna get worse from there.

I buy my movies, rip them off the DVD's/BD's, put them on my server and stream them. Or- I rip shit off streaming platforms and put them on my own server just to stream them off my own server. The latter is usually easier and cheaper.

Oh 100% get you , my problem so when someone basically torrents 130 gb of a whole five seasons of a TV show that just seems fucking retarded

What a retarded thing to do, really.

I don't touch public torrent sites. Everything I watch comes from private sites, mostly IPTorrents. It's not that much better than a public site, but I could use it on my home PC without getting nastygrams from copyright enforcement. Not saying that I do, but it's the principle.
>iptorrents
>look up somewhat obscure thing
>not one seeder or even torrent
>public torrent
>look up somewhat obscure thing
>three torrent files with torrenters

Wow, such value.

Going through the OP and none of these sites work:

Piracy General (OP Rewrite)
Piracy General (OP Rewrite) - Part 2
Piracy General (OP Rewrite) - Part 3
Piracy General (OP Rewrite) - Part 4
All of them sources for pirated material and shows how to pirate material for you to distribute.
First one goes into extensive detail about software such as FFMpeg, YTDLP, FTP, SSH, MPV and VLC.
Second one goes into extensive detail about the standards for pirated material naming conventions.
Third one goes into extensive detail on how to read, write and burn CDs/DVDs/BluRays.
Part 4 covers content modifiers such as adblockers.
Also just refer to FMHY.

Is there any way to watch "members only" YouTube videos without paying?
No, there is kemono where sometimes there might be something but other than that you have to remember how niggerly people that have YouTube memberships are. They are more loyal to the youtuber but also they are not willing to simply rip the video using yt-dlp because they are low IQ niggers so they try to rip them using "youtube to mp4" sites which obviously won't work because it is behind the paywall.

>iptorrents
>look up somewhat obscure thing
Obviously, I'm not using IPT for obscure stuff. For obscure films, there's PTP. For obscure music, there's the post-Oink hydra. Et cetera. There's no shortage of good private sites for specific categories of content. But IPT largely has most of the stuff I'm looking for.

Who's more niggerly?
- person A who pays person B for their work
- someone who expects person A to pay for the work and share it for free
I'm saying this as someone who's pirated countless terabytes over 30 years and rarely pays for anything.

For obscure films, there's PTP.
Good to know. Obscure makes up a decent chunk of the films in my library/that I'm looking for.

Honestly, some stuff is just easier to buy than torrent. You still have to deal with DRM, but when the thing you want is readily available to purchase and it's obscure enough that you can't even find dead torrents of it, it's tempting.

Good goy, buy more hard drives to download more goyslop. Enjoy all the free goyslop data for your own entertainment and don't you dare to use that hardware to store something of importance. You don't have to pay for the content, as long as you consoom it is kosher. Good goy!
What's on your HDDs that isn't entertainment media? Tell us.

Are you sure you know what we’re doing here?
I think they confused KW with Reddit. R/piracy is where you go to find the hypocrisy and confusion. It is a bit of an adjustment going from one site to another. Go to the very beginning of my post history for an example.

I feel so stupid for asking this, but what is PTP? There's one title that is pissing me off right now because I can't even find a dead torrent for it. All of the sites I've checked come back with no results. Tempted to buy it on Amazon, but I'd still like to have a copy for myself.
