I still download from RARBG. I only upgrade their torrents if it’s something I really like or is watched occasionally.

Who would even want to advertise this way? It doesn't seem particularly effective and it's just annoying. If anything, having your ad slapped on top of the movie I'm watching will make me never want to use your product.

So I have a really old pc (at this point is only worth using as a Facebook machine) and a bunch of spare hdd and ssd is there any requirements I need to make it a home server?

My lady had a friend over the other night and they were watching a cam of the new Wuthering Heights and I heard her from the other room tell this other girl "just an FYI at some point the movie will probably be interrupted by some nigger with a blender trying to convince us to do online gambling and it'll be really loud"

and that was in and of itself just funny to hear her describe that, but ive been seeing that blender nigger in camrips for like 8 years now I feel like, who the fuck sees an ad in a bootleg of a movie and thinks whatever it is could POSSIBLY be a good use of their resources? you're presumably somebody who refuses to spend $8-12 on a matinee ticket, why would you spend money on an obvious scam?

By the way for anyone into anime piracy there are autists that check the quality of every anime remux made and determine which are the best releases to add to what is called the “Seadex”. You can search for your favorite show on releases.moe and then select the release’s Nyaa or private tracker direct link to download.

Depends what you want it to do and how much you care about protecting the data it's storing. My media server is an old laptop with a broken screen and some shitty USB drives strapped onto it. Works fine, has been for years. Video transcoding can get a bit problematic but you can either disable that or set your clients/files up so that it's not necessary.

I don't care about what's on it, the drives been wiped so many times I don't have anything worth keeping on it.

I shit you not it's been in every camrip for years. I dont watch that many anymore because jack shit comes out i want to see that bad I can't wait a month, but I've seen this negro in at least 20 movies the last 7 or 8 years. Some movies it's this same ad more than once. If the audio is muffled (usually is on a cam) you might have a heart attack because it's so startling and your tv will probably be turned up to like 70 just to hear the dialog and you get the clapping out of nowhere.

I used to look on torrent sites for camrips a couple days after something came out to read the descriptions and wait for the versions people'd remove this from so it didn't blow my tv speakers.

For context, I do my pirating from my personal laptop at work because I've already pissed my home ISP off once (before I got a VPN) and piracy is heavily frowned upon at home. This particular torrent was going for a few days, I left for the weekend, came back, and the torrent has made no progress since then.

There's at least some logic there. Viewers will see your ad and stick around in order to finish the movie. Advertising in the subtitles at the very end of a movie? Nope. The ad didn't show up until the subtitles themselves had finished. You can just turn the movie off.

Damn. I must just be lucky. I don't watch many camrips, but he's never shown up. The Long Walk, M3GAN 2.0, and Him didn't have it. I watched the last two on XPrime, so maybe the rips were vetted. Considering the quality of rips these days, I'm genuinely appalled by the rip of Deadpool & Wolverine I caught my dad watching. The cam wasn't even focused on the movie screen. It darted around like the person holding it had Parkinson's.
