No. The only thing that might give you grief is if the onboard NIC is some trashy old Realtek adapter with no drivers bundled in the kernel. You can tell if that's going to be a problem by live booting a distro (like Debian) and seeing whether you have network connectivity. If it reports no network adapters, then you'll either need to figure out drivers for it or throw a supported NIC into the system. You can get 1 Gbit NICs for <$20 pretty easily.
Maybe you just don't have interest in cams and mainstream slop in general. If I were to take a wild guess, I'd say cams aren't that popular anymore because Internet distribution is becoming more robust by the year and more people are willing to wait for a high quality Blu-ray rip or a copy from Amazon etc.

Got 3 warnings (only one of which I was aware) and had our internet disconnected until he called to fix it. If I fuck up again, the ISP with need to search every device in the house if we want our service restored. Got a VPN and our ISP doesn't seem to like that. Use the same Proton account on multiple devices connected to wifi from multiple locations/ISPs and the only one I've had any problems with was our home ISP. It's not even feasible to use my VPN at home because my internet slows to a crawl.

He also sperged out and talked my dad's ear off about horror movies when he saw Friday the 13th among the titles we'd been struck for. Mediacom doesn't seem particularly fond of VPNs. My internet slows to a crawl any time I have mine on (a fairly recent development) and no other network I've connected to has any problems. Using the internet is basically impossible with my VPN on at home.
