Why not just explicitly make most of the threads on the app things troons would not care about in order to better weed them out indirectly. I dont think a troon would be that intrested in talking about season 49 of the bachelor. For the stack, I would recommend that you develop the application as a frontend for a discourse backend. You could get it up pretty quick as an MVP that way. Use Keycloak for Auth, and user credentials. It's rock solid. Really the big thing is verification though. You could automate it using OCR on the driver's license and train your model to detect the watermarks on the licenses. The main issue is every state has a different license format and watermark. Not to mention you would need to scan the picture to see if the person if a male or female.

Alternatively, you could just train the women to bully men in dresses on the app until they leave.

I’m a little late on the reply, sorry, but I didn’t mean to sound doom and gloom. I don’t think I’m a defeatist, I’m more of a realist, but I do try to keep hope alive, so to speak. It’s an interesting idea, but I’m sure it has an uphill battle.

I was originally skeptical of the ID requirement, but I see what’s been posted about the third-party requirements and that might be okay. Particularly, I’m interested in the “disappearing”/anonymous posts after a certain time frame. It sounds nice, in theory.

And not to ass kiss or anything, but hey, you’ve pulled off the unrealistic many times before (and the seethe would be so fucking funny).

In short, yeah, why not? Nothing gets done if you’re afraid of the outcome after all.

This has to be fake, 50% of my coworkers/university peers in the computer sciences were women. The IT companies employed both computer science and electronics graduates, assuming they hired 75% of people in both thats roughly 50% of the workforce being women. I know first world statistics are not third world statistics but this is definitely not true.

I wouldn't mind sending censored ID with blurred pic that shows my first name, sex, state, issuing/expiring date and maybe date of birth if required. If somebody was manually verifying these add a special requirement, like a piece of paper with unique word written on it on registration to make sure pic is made in real time. Maybe add random verification events occasionally (every 3-4 months?). Yes this is unsustainable logistical nightmare, it might work only for a short time. The idea is nice, noble even, I'm just not sure how technically to go about it to avoid it turning into hell to maintain.

Personally? I think if an app or a website like this would ever exist I think it should be paywalled because an agp tranny or a scrote would be way more inclined to spend their 10 dollars on a Pornhub sub or chinese cartoon nsfw art commission of their waifu than on an app made exclusively for women. However given Null's history of having to constantly deal with shitty payment processors screwing him over, I don't think this is exactly possible.

I think this is a decent idea and I hope Jersh doesn't feel discouraged from doing this project.

My main concerns with this venture are
1. it will immediately be targeted by numerous bad actors with lots of money and clout
2. to my understanding KF still makes negative money a month and is already dealing with tedious litigation, so this will be very difficult to fund and focus time on independently
3. the noise from bad actors will preemptively doom any reputation-building attempts for the space as a respectable entity separate from KF, making correction of point 2 even more difficult
4. not trusting that even a vetted 3rd-party authentification app would be immune from shitty tech males

There’s irony in women being the ones with the autistic patience to troubleshoot the first computers and make them commercially viable, only to now be a increasingly small minority in the CS field, largely because it’s a sausagefest comprising the worst of the worst. Programming was just stupid unimportant women’s work when it was getting the first supercomputers built and functional, but now that it’s brainfried scrotes copypasting someone else's code, there’s big money and even prestige in being a codemonkey.

So many IT/remote support moids are both open sex pests as well as completely incompetent. Some do sadly know what they’re doing and predictably use their tech autism/industry connections to be a menace. Regardless of skill, the inverse of “Gay or European” for the modern woman working with remote IT moids is “Troon or SEAsian”. Even if they’re not an obvious bob vagene stereotype they both get so pathetically aggressive and weird once they know you’re a woman, especially one who doesn’t defer and let them be creepy.

I like the idea of a gatekept online space, but would not easily trust any 3rd-party tech to not have a misogynistic mole or five on payroll. It only takes one vindictive moid with the proper clearance to shit things up, job fallout be damned—call me paranoid but if a tech moid could cause harm to a concept like this, zealotry could easily outweigh the legal consequences for him. I think the easiest way to do a site like this is to do soft filtering of non female topics. If you off the bat stating outright this is a womens only website every tranny and every incel and every hacker will see this as a challenge and try to take down the site/infiltrate it. But if you just keep the women only part in small print while focusing on something most men dont care about you can more easily run a webite like this and filter out anyone you dont want in.
