It can't, really. All it would be is a self-esteem boost. She's wanted to be Japanese for so long that ANY Asian blood that shows up in a DNA test, no matter how minuscule or far removed from the isles of Japan, would be taken as a sign of her "true Nippon heritij."

But even that would be just a band-aid for the rest of her problems.
