Considering she's into Japanese stuff a lot, I wonder why she didn't go to Japan. :stupid:

Two reasons:

A. She spends all her meager earnings on shitty cosplay

2. I think deep down inside she knows Japan isn't what she imagines it and knows there is no way on God's green Earth that she would be accepted, could conform, or even be taken seriously. It's easier for her to play dress-up and dream about Super Kawaii Nippon of Groriousu Desu.

QUESTION!!

Where did she pick the name 'PixyTeri'? 'Pixy' probably just means 'pixie' but I dunno why she would pick it since she's never seemed like much of a faerie dork. And no clue where 'Teri' comes from. Anyone know?

It used to be PixyTeriyaki. Cuz, y'know Japanese eat Teriyaki? I guess? Seriously, you expect Pixy to make any kind of logical sense? Or any lolcow for that matter? Pshhh...as if...

Makes as much sense as Chris becoming self aware.

Here it is! It's hilarious. Watch it right now.

Oh, and apparently she went to Vegas sometime in 2012 and she wore this while there:

It actually isn't that bad. I think this is the most flattering outfit I've ever seen her wearing.
Good God, that guy has her down to a t. Seriously, she acts like a 15-year old during the MySpace era. It's an interesting time capsule for anyone who was a teenager in the 2000s (seriously, how was that stupid hands-on-head anime dance ever so popular?)

Pixy probably thinks that everyone in Japan is as obsessed with anime, and cosplay as she is. She has a caricature of Japan in her head.

We just pretend that the Carmelldansen never existed in the first place.

Some Lolcows like putting some significant thought into what they call themselves. I just wondered what the fuck motivated her to pick that name. QUESTION ANSWERED THANKS GUIZE. :heart-full: :heart-full: :heart-full:

So many memories of former high school classmates doing it, with loads of enthusiasm no less! Such memories just do...things to a person

You had weeaboo classmates as well? I think I was out of high school before that dance got suuuper popular, but I had friends who were still in school and apparently the anime and gaming clubs were basically just weebs doing that stupid dance.

Yeah, that sounds about right. Really, '05-'08 seemed to be a prime time for weeaboo culture, and adolescents were struck hardest it seems. So many steampunk goggles, Gorillaz obsession, and don't even get me started on the Narutards!

^ thank god my mom was really old when she married my dad so she had to have me in 1983 or else. I was way past grown up when all that stuff came around.

Lucky indeed. It seemed so cool back then, but you look back and realize that at one point you actually really liked mediocre animated bands, stupid-ass character accessories (those fucking goggles and headbands, I swear), and a DBZ-ripoff about a blond Japanese ninja with magical fox powers (good God, did I really just say that out loud?). For what it's worth, at least there's now some semblance of an understanding as to what the parents of poke'kids were going through!

I got out of high school around the time--or just BEFORE--Naruto, Hetalia, and the other really aggressively-fan-inhabited animes became popular. I had lots of weeby friends and hung out with weebs mostly in school (because I was too annoying and weird for anyone else), but I never really got that level of crazy. I blame my shyness.

Yeah, I'm glad the Weeb craze was after my time. We had the skaters, the straight edgers, the D and D geeks, the goths, the rockers, the preps/jocks, and a few others. Frankly I don't think kids these days could survive high school when I was a kid.
