To elaborate: McPig is a big fan of a developer called StrawberryOctii* and he's releasing the demo of his new game "Kings of Hell" like tomorrow. McPig will probably promote this release on twitter.
Anyway, what's potentially wrong with this new game?

Going to try P rank + beat all challenges for every level on my first playthrough, it's rare for a game to trigger full autistic kid mode in me like that anymore but fuck it, I'm going to embrace it while I can. I've completed John Gutter, Pizzascape and Pepperman so far and let me just say fuck Pizzascape. It feels so long compared to the previous level and I kept screwing up on lap 2. The Pepperman theme is now etched in to my skull (thankfully it's an absolute banger). I ended up P ranking John Gutter 3 times because I wasn't aware on my 2nd run that a 99-combo requires every enemy in the level.
This is how videogames should be. Fun, challenging, stylish, plays like butter and is extremely satisfying when you finally achieve the thing you've been busting your ass for over an hour for.

Feels refreshing that we have finally an indie game that is actually fun, creative and doesnt feel like its trying to smell its own political farts. Its almost kind of shocking to get something this untainted.
Feels like most indie games nowadays devolve into vanity projects.
Edit: The indie dev scene is full of faggots, why you think a lot of these games tend to be narrative driven "profund" tales over how society sucks or/and pretending how its hard to be a LGBTQ person in the 2020's (and being so disconnected to reality that their characters and self inserts come off as really fucking unintentionally unlikable)

I've played a lot of indie games and no joke Pizza Tower has some of the best controls I've ever seen in a game period. I finally understand why people who played games like Super Mario World or Sonic 2 whn they came out back in the day gush about them so much - the sheer amount of joy I get just from getting combos is intense.
This wasn't just a passion project or a love letter, this is a fucking masterpiece that only happens once in a decade or so.
They're basically Reddit mods. Having an excuse to abuse their powers is probably the highlight of their day. I saw one guy teaching others how to ban evade but I have no fucking clue how to sideload scripts into Tampermonkey so I can ban evade if I get punished for talking about a funny pizza game on a Hogwarts Legacy board.
