Poa.st is trash

I don't see it as a substitute for .cc and people used to the relatively calm forum jannies here will be disappointed to learn it's a hugbox filled with anime avatars and trigger happy jannies.

The issues are:
  • It's run by a Canadian
  • The Canadian chimps out endlessly
  • The rules are retarded (no doxing)
  • Anime avatars
  • Defederation
KF.cc refugees or forum users interested in the fediverse in-general should consider joining other instances or setting up their own. I've been out of the loop on fediverse drama for the last few months but I remember shitposter.club was alright. They do have a stupid no doxing rule but that's basically there to appease the Canadian since he defederates anyone that refuses to moderate the nose jpeg.

This, plus the alleged CP that the jannies turn a blind eye to (though I never encountered this myself). Poast never felt like a long term solution; something about the vibe that puts me off. Maybe it's the anime avatars living cheek by jowl with ayyy-lawgs and Gunt Guards. I appreciate Poast giving Farmers somewhere to huddle during the 2022 Troon Wars, and it'd because I appreciate it I decided to move on (though I still have an account there just in case).

There's an awful lot of autism around federation/defederation. I walked into a shitstorm after I accidentally offended some anime avatar faggot from another instance. Never before have I seen so much autism contained within one poster, and this is coming from someone that casually follows Acerthorn.

As for the no doxing rule, that's the least of the fediverse's problems. But I've found an instance I like, I haven't upset their head janny (some chick with 6 kids... ngl I thought she was Melinda Scott when I first heard that) and I'm allowed to say "nigger" and "faggot" in peace. Can't ask for more than that.

No, that's what happens whenever you try to create a space that doesn't tone police or force people to hold certain opinions.

You can very easily create a conservative forum or community without it being flooded by nazis if you hold users to a basic standard of decorum re: screeching the n-word constantly and trying to redpill people on the (((holohoax))).

Imagine you run your own e-mail server and imagine if one day Google decided that you can't e-mail anyone on Gmail because you called Sundar Pichai a street shitting pajeet nigger. You can still receive e-mails from Gmail users but you can't reach anybody on there, it just goes into a digital black hole as far as their users are concerned. If you ask me it feels like they all got THAT big mad about a bunch of farmers shitting on people loliposting, but they didn't give themselves any favors by continuing to lolipost (and reduce the age down and down) as an epic own I guess

So last time there was major drama between KF and poast, it turned out it was only one or two faggots that can't go for 2 seconds without looking for the nearest admin, messaging them with their dox and threatening to swat them. Apparently the story is that Crunklord added an emoji to Kiwifarms.cc that is a big honking schnoz called :jew: and it turns out that this big honker belongs to the wife of one of the anime lolicon nazis on Poast and is therefore considered "doxing". lmao
