One half of my hunch turned out to be right, apparently! Allow me to document my findings with some background.

For starters, I'd like you to take a look at the following post (archive):

It's one odd policy to have on a site. Information on bans is only available to people who have spent their time playing the game and winning tournaments or contributing to materials on forums, articles and whatnot (conditions to get a badge, mentioned at the end). It's a really odd rule with an odd justification - I get the idea of protecting the victims, but the banned user? If you got banned for something completely insignificant, like spamming or just posting something people have asked you to stop posting multiple times, not one sane person is going to look up your name and harass you, chances are you were insignificant to begin with. Then there's stuff like racism, sexism and all the other -isms, which - despite people active there spending their free time playing on a client with Nintendo property that's separate from Nintendo which is always playing with fire, I don't expect them to seek out these people and throw hate their way for that.

What about the real potential meat and potatoes - sexual harassment, misconduct, all that stuff? I'd say there's a good reason to cast stones at the target and make sure their presence doesn't spread for the sake of people that might end up becoming a victim of this individual in the future.

Let's leave this thought for now and go back to our troon in question, Plague von Karma. The post I linked isn't just what I posted a screenshot of. It's a reply to other people asking similar things, amongst them...

Would you look at that. Banned? No way. What for? You won't find out in the thread, or other threads similar to it (which also mentions that "allegations were true"), because of what I mentioned prior. However, I accidentally stumbled upon an answer in a somewhat unrelated video, about a certain metagame he used to be a big part of, which is now frozen in activity in big part thanks to that ban:

Whoever could've seen that coming. Granted, YouTube comments are not exactly the most viable source, but unless someone with said access decided to leak the reasoning, it's about as much as you can get from the outside. Except there is another bit of evidence. Recall my original message and how I mentioned Big Yellow promoting Plague von Karma in a video? Yeah, good luck finding said video on his channel. Maybe it's unlisted, but I cannot really justify myself to invest searching for a video with two people sperging out about a niche within a niche (it was about said metagame). What matters now is that it's not here.

Speaking of things that are not here:
His Pokemon related YouTube channel exists, but has no listed videos and is renamed. A quick search resulted in a link to one of his videos, thus safe to say they were all unlisted.
His Smash YouTube channel has not shared the same fate, also links to the aforementioned one.
Twitch channel which has been inactive for 2 years, last VOD dated at 15th December, 2022.
Patreon account with a matching name to the current YouTube channel. No subscribers nor subscriptions.
Link to a discord server which is no longer there.
Dedicated thread he made about himself, as well as its archive from September of 2022, because if there's one thing troons are great at, it's oversharing. Plenty of cool information to find there if you're interested. Archiving date might suggest when he was uncovered to groom people?
His blog. Not much sauce there, mostly talk about some beta stuff from old games.

You could scout his activity on Smogon forums further, but you can't use Smogon itself for it, as banned user activities are only available for staff members.
I'll update this post with any other findings I manage to uncover.

It looks like him being insignificant and not well known at all was a blessing in disguise after all.
I guess also to protect their image, his queer status and in addition to protect the victims - which honestly I am not buying it - they gave him the deal of fucking off in exchange of not releasing anything about what happened and covering his ass pretty much everywhere. Now whenever you try searching you will only find a reddit thread from few months ago asking about what happened ,all comments are what you expect, and his ROM hack he worked on.

I have a feeling had he been a straight or someone they didn’t like I don’t think they would’ve made the same decision.. Hell, I can imagine all Hell breaking loose: leaking every single screenshot imaginable about what he’s done, being a monster and several “EXPOSED” videos grilling his ass like what happened to Silver League Networks / Jim / Silver August - assuming anybody remembering him or gave a shit about at this point -.
Fucking hypocrites.
 
What can you guys tell me of the man named "David"? I'm between asking here and 'Fakemon' because the man is apparently asking for a playtest on /vp/ of his fangame with fakemon and he seems to be well known for being a massive sperg kicked from forums, not paying for comms, and having worked and reworked the same ideas for over a decade with nothing to even play until now. Also this:

That's a blast from the past, I remember when I was super young I joined their forum trying to become their steel-type gym leader :story:

I remember specifically that the guy absolutely hated generation 5, which is not an opinion that's aged particularly well.

Whatever happened to them?

Around March 2021, someone decided to expose his ass with allegations of texting 2 girls at Two separate occasions since 2012 or some shit. At first he was like “I am just a messenger owo I don’t want drama” then the next fucking Tweet he tagged every single soy and poketuber imaginable.
How many channels covered this scandal????? Only Two
One is Green Typhlosion - which is fucking hilarious by itself - this and this videos.
The other one is basically a nobody who maybe chose to delete his Two rants about the subject.

Now there were some unanswered questions because the whole thing came out of nowhere but …. He nuked everything. He ran away after he faked his suicide according to the pinned comment on the link above then he made One written to his supporters before closing shop for good

That was it, no head or tail from him ever since and given the gravity of the situation he will never come back.

Absofuckinglutely. Bro is what happens when a discord mod and a reddit mod inbreed (truly one of the most blasphemous and horrifying unions the universe may witness).

I never heard of him before but he reminds me of some Warhammer players/lolcows as well, who also obsess over rules and every little thing to autistic degrees like this, while sperging whenever you have fun (remember, NO FUN ALLOWED!!!), Like, it really is not that deep man, its just a fucking game.

The thing about him is he is extremely boring.
You may noticed this: people who shat on him and got under his skin decided to drop him soon after because they quickly found out he is regurgitating his same bullshit time and tims again for the past 15 fucking years. He is a boring scumbag nothing more and nothing less

The only scenario I see him getting milked to hell by everyone is if someone managed to leak all his private messages because you bet your ass he got some serious skeletons in his closet… or if he sexually assaulted Wolfe IRL whichever comes first
 
I just noticed the Serebiiforums pretty much deleted a bunch of subforums (or hid them, though why would it affect postcount?), and it may-or-may-not be related to false DMCA reports the site's had? Anyone know what this is about, and is this just Joe being passive-aggressive about how much he hates his site?

I wish you were more specific, I asked a guy who is quite active on the trade forums - Excel spreadsheets and everything - and said he didn’t notice anything.
That being said, it’s known that Joe Merrick has been high on horse tranquilizers the moment he got verified by retardera and since then he thinks of himself as hot shit. If it turns out he truly planned on sabotaging his own forum I honestly won’t be surprised in the slightest.
