I'm a friend of Jackster's and it upsets me that there are people here who like to bully him. He has autism, like me. He's really trying the best he can to be a good person, people should stop attacking others if they mess up and stuff. It only leads to more drama. I just want this world to be peaceful and happy (battles should only exist among pokemon. at least fighting isn't negative with them. but, it is with people :/)

Oh god the Korrina fangirl. I remember coming across her profile and feeling an immense amount of second-hand embarrassment for her. It's one thing to be obsessed with a character but this? Coming from a 29 year old lady? There's some problems here, for sure.

Serebii used to be more fun 'cause it was more active and chaotic and I lowkey had schadenfreude the whole time. I totally contributed to the madness especially in the fan fiction section because hoo boy, but I honestly loved spending my time there. It was sad to watch it die, but old habits die hard for me. I have limited myself to only a few subforums at this point now, though, especially since one practically died now when the forum got its upgrade. Something about killing the post-count banners I think chased people away even though we only then got custom avatars afterwards. I dunno, the sense of fun's no longer there. The SJW-esque stuff's mainly contained to the political thread, but you'll occasionally find it brought up in the Pokémon Anime Discussion threads by random posters or in the Author's Café, which is basically lifeless at this point.

Author's Café was always the most interesting tbh. Fan fiction writers form their own tight-knit cliques even though most of them claim to want to help out new writers, but you can tell they were trying to get them to join the clique by reforming them. It was actually bad enough of a split some of the famous Serebii writers including a mod just up-and-left and formed their own forum where I think the same problems still occur. The members are fun to talk to by themselves, but when put together, it's an eerie hivemind.

The Café hasn't had stuff like that happen in ages, though. Think the last time something cropped up was I believe last year someone asked about diversity in writing, but it died pretty quickly when the OP basically got triggered by a post in the thread. Honestly was interesting timing, too, that was when the YA drama started to rear its ugly head in the worst way.

I could go on forever about how bad things got at Serebii but if I did this post would be huge and there would be a lot of powerleveling. Yeah it was always a huge shitfest but at least at one stage it was entertaining to watch as you said. I can only think of one person who really wanted to just encourage and help people, but again as you said, as soon as she was around the others the hivemind mentality crept in.

That would be Culterine and JX Valentine. JX (Jax as she was known by) wasn't all that bad. She actually gave a damn about trying to make a community that could've been fun to be in - but left because of the aforementioned cliques and hiveminds the mods had (particularly when it came to members being douchebags to others). She had the typcial progressive mindset, but it never really permeated her work until after she left.

Then there's Culterine. That name might sound familiar to some of you, right? She's the one who made the Pokemon Snakewood ROM hack. She also happens to be transgender - and that trope was in every damn story she wrote. She made sure to make her opinions on transitioning and how gender is a choice very frequently in some of her later stories and this really did blot out any kind of potential her plots had. I think she's on AO3 under a different name now and is still churning out this sort of stuff she was making on Serebii Forums, but I'd have to go and see if I can find it.

Man, JX apparently has some juicy stories about what went on behind the scenes, but I haven't seen or heard anything about what went on outside of there. Best I could gather is there's apparently some apathy from the mods and that Joe really doesn't fucking care about the forums, hence why it took forever to get an upgrade, but he went with the lowest XenForo version like the cheapskate he is.

I wonder where Psychic went, though. Dragonfree too apparently doesn't do much on Serebii anymore, but she has her own site she runs and that has the Bulbagarden problem too in that like half of the site's inaccessible to visitors. I haven't been there in like ten years, but it's apparently filled to the gills with LGBT members, and I'm certain half of them are troons/enbies by now.

In general, though, the old-guard fanfic writers are basically gone now, only one still hanging on I think is veteran FlamingRuby, I don't know how she does it. The new blood's tried their best, by God they've tried, but that subforum is basically on life-support as is. Nothing special has shown up there in ages, sad as it is to say, I think it honestly died not just with Yami Ryu but when an author, Great Butler, just kinda faded away, not sure if he's around anymore. Used to also be some good horror authors there like Scrap and Burnt Flower, but they dropped off the face of the Internet.

Seriously, despite the stigma of fan fiction, there was a time where SPPf writers tried to be creative, it was really inspiring, all things considered. Seeing what's happened to that subforum was just painful.

Nah, his love for Leaf goes far beyond that, or even anything CWC does. One is simply exceptional, the other is completely schizophrenic. His insanity is so complete and deep that it's hard to even explain. He just received his trumpbux, and he plans to spend it all on the future Leaf gacha in a Pokemon mobile game despite only having a single mattress and a PC in his empty cave of a house. And now that he has been banned off every relevant Pokemon discussion, he just talks to "her" all the time. I'm not even sure he even remembers his real name at this point, although he still seems to have childhood memories from "before she came to him".

At this point, he's just one step away from owning a Leaf cumjar despite his claims he has no sexual thoughts for her.

Leaf doesn't have a bunch of figurines and stuff to her name, it looks like, which I guess is a small miracle. It'd be some funny karma if he were to find himself crushed by an avalanche of them, though, but I'd hate to see something as nicely-molded and painted as the above get disfigured.

Can beta/prototype drama go here too? There's been so much over the past few days since the debug Yellow and Blue ROMs and some other files were leaked. I'll try and start it from the top. Apologizes if I get details wrong, a lot of this is ~*sekrit*~ clubs drama being spread out between Discord servers and 4chan threads over a few years.

In May 2018, some guy named Wack0 also known as ___ hacked Nintendo and other servers. He's so famous he got a news article! (archive)
He posts the Spaceworld ROMS in the pret discord server. What this place is, I got no idea, I just know they posted some disassembles of the older games on Github.

There's also someone else named RacieB who was involved in the Helix Chamber stream, Ganix talks about them in his Glitch City post but I don't know how much more they're involved in all of this.

Made an account just to clarify the part about Wizchan - I was an anon on /vp/ some months ago, when PreciousLeaf was first becoming particularly active, flooding the board with his nonsense and getting banned by mods and derided by other anons. I was one of the people fucking with him, and I did so pretty consistently for a few days. He said that he would leave if he could find somewhere he couldn't be identified, but still had a user base that would be his hugbox, or at the very least a place where he could post his waifu worship threads with impunity.
Somewhat as a joke and somewhat as a shit-test (and somewhat because it's one of the few places he might actually find what he was looking for), I directed him to Wizchan. He did actually go there for that day and made at least one thread, but other anons who had been fucking with him hopped over from /vp/ as well, and the cycle continued. I'm sure the guys at Wizchan had no fucking clue what was going on that day. Maybe it gave some of them a good chuckle. But Leaffag didn't go there because he felt any particular connections with incels or MGTOW, at least not strictly.
That said, he's extremely easy to manipulate and pretty gullible. I feel like with everything that's known about him, it's pretty safe to say he's got real issues, which gives me a touch of troll's remorse, if I'm honest. But I'd feel worse if the stuff he does wasn't so funny. I think he's probably harmless, at least for now.
