There are WAY too many gimmickmax forms for brand new mons that should just be standard evolutions. Normally it wouldn't be such a big deal but now that we know that GF is more than willing to drop battle mechanics within a gen or two, it means these guys are pre-destined to be neutered later on. That and the concept just reeks of inflated numbers so they can make the new region's dex bigger than it actually is just like the megas before it. At least regional forms are still their own thing and aren't just temporary boosts that aren't present anywhere outside of active battle.

I guarantee you that statement of there being over a 1,000 mons is false once you discount megas and gigantomax, they're trying to stretch out reaching that number legitimately as long as they can.
