Pokémon (Not-So) Griefing Thread - Scarlet and Violet Released with 10 Million Copies in First 3 Days in Buggy States

Also, does anyone remember those old fanmade Pokemon MMOs created with Gen 3 assets back in the late aughts? I remember sinking a bit of time into Pokemon Crater and Pokemon Global before they shut down for one reason or another. They were by no means perfect but they definitely blew my mind as a preteen who was disappointed by Diamond and Pearl.
I played Pokemon Revolution a year or two ago. It let's you travel across multiple regions, but I never bother getting past the 1st.

Also, is that a white Nessa near the end?
Looks like that, and on tumblr, a post I saw with this trailer had MULTIPLE comments how she is a dealbreaker cause yikes sweety thats waycist.

Also, according to same post, that thing is by people who make just a trailer or 1 beta of something and then ditch an entire idea.

That game was tedious as hell.

I feel like I'm in the minority regarding the Pokemon fandom's long-standing desire to see an official Pokemon MMO. I prefer to single player RPGs to fully online games. and the general volatility of the fandom in recent years has sort of convinced me that a proper MMO would be far too chaotic and the general player experience could be easily ruined by elitists and smogonfags for anyone to enjoy such a game casually, unless it was some sort of limited PvE deal like what we saw in the Wild Area in SwSh but on a region-wide scale, which just... sounds terrible. Maybe Legends: Arceus will iron out the kinks, but I'm not holding my breath.

As was stated earlier: "then their customers would have no reason to buy their games anymore"

What a way to stir some ancient memories. I put a ton of time into Pokemon Crater when I was younger, I still remember my starter was a Pidgey.

Pokemon Crater
Heh, Pokemon Crater... now that's a name I haven't heard in a long time.

I remember being addicted to the site as a kid - so much so my parents would shut off the internet at 10 PM to force me to go to bed. Mudkip was my starter - though if you were to make me play the game now I'd probably pick Turtwig instead.

They had some interesting concepts too - like metallic pokemon, which were sort of meant to be rare traits (but not really because the encounter rates were ridiculously high for things like shinies) that looked cool. Makes me wonder why the games haven't added things like albino or melanistic pokemon yet (though that would require effort and Game Freak is allergic to the idea of effort).

Sounds unnecessary when shinies and regional variants already exist at this point.

My only memory of those was accidentally clicking on an ad on their website and an alarm sound blasting through my speaker, which caused elementary school me to run screaming for my mother.

I got New Pokemon Snap less than a week ago as a present and it's a cute game. It's making me appreciate some Pokemon I otherwise don't think about, and really love the ones I already liked. Pyukumuku sitting in Pelipper's mouth is so cute! The interactions between other Pokemon is something I wish they put into the games, and not just as tidbits in the Pokedex.

Anyways, I've been thinking about what team I'm going to use for Brilliant Diamond. I'm going to start out with Turtwig and use Pokemon I've never used before besides that. Bastiodon is my only other guaranteed team member. Any recommendations for possible team members, assuming it's the Platinum Pokedex?

Bibarel is pretty fun with Simple. Swords Dance gives it +4 to attack, and it can learn both Quick Attack and Aqua Jet.

/vp/ is a huge mess right now and it's hilarious. A bunch of Discord retards are spamming the board with gen v hate threads and none of the jannies are doing anything. Now people are derailing the bait threads with fat fetish art and fart pics as well as one post of Drasna taking a shit. It’s still up.

When two types of autisms clash , only thing to come out is everyone looking in Laughing at the monkey fight.

Personally I’m going to try to beat the game with only a Luxray. Use a Houndoom, I guess.

Assuming you want to use a team of regional mons or mons from this gen, Togekiss, Honchkrow, Roserade. If not, Medicham is fun to use over Lucario.

One of the most underrated evolutions from Gen IV like Starraptor. IIRC didnt a luxray require a trade

Driftblim was another fun one to use with its aftermath ability. Have to wait for Fridays to catch a Driftloon in front of the sign at Valley Windworks.

I just wish it had a better STAB move than Wild Charge. It’s a pretty cool design and the shiny looks great.
Edit: Luxray is not a trade evo
Houndoom or Luxray? Because Guts Luxray is a serious powerhouse.
Well, Houndoom isn’t a Gen 4 Pokémon, so…

Right, my bad. I want him to have better STAB too, but I just know that when/if it does it's power will increase exponentially.

Luxray. Houndoom is not from Gen 4.

I dont remember ever actually getting a Luxray. I might have assumed it was a trade evolution like Electivire and Magmortar and really hated Luxio for some reason as an ugly pokemon. Its basically Shinx, but with facial hair.

Also IIRC some doubles partner you are forced to pair with in the story has one and it was weak as shit. Though it was a level 30 NPC owned luxray.
