Tulip be lookin like Natasha Legerro lol

I'm still debating. I'm leaning towards Scarlet but i dunno. I'm curious if the version professors provide differences as well as the architecture, towns, etc.

Dachsbun tho 🥰🥰🥰

sorry if this is annoying, im trying not to read the leaks, but there's some mechanical info i wish i had. does anyone have the answers to these questions?

1. does terastallizing use up your turn, like mega evolving or etc? (i assume yes)
2. terastalizing uses up energy from the terestal orb or whatever. is that orb an actual held item, or just a key item or something?
3. is there an item like an ability patch that will change the tera type of a pokemon?
4. do ability patch and bottle caps come back in scarlet/violet?
5. are all "past" paradox forms exclusive to scarlet, and all "future" paradox forms exclusive to violet?
6. do "normal" basic pokemon evolve into the paradox forms, or are there paradox forms of the whole line? e.g. a normal form phanpy evolves into one of the paradox donphan, or no?

RetardKun has been streaming for the game for like 14 hours, still running after waking up and watching last night. Been funny seeing all the crappy, cringe and/or unfinished things in the game while watching RetardKun live up to his namesake by playing like a mentally handycapped child.

I'm a sucker for the kind of weirder/goofier pokemon designs (Vanilluxe is a legit top 5 favourite of mine fuck the h8ers) so I like pretty much everything so far except Sprig's evo which looks like a really shitty Sonic OC. Fuecoco evolving into Serpentera from Power Rangers makes up for it though.
they are cowards for removing it's yoyo for the final stage, I want him to pull off some ness tier bullcrap with that damn thing

Usually in the past I felt like people were just reaching when they made statements like this, because you could tell it was just a code for "this pokemon has a design element or a bright color scheme I don't like wah-wah-wah where's my desaturated ugly pokemon like in gen 1 gamefreak pls fix" but in this case I gotta agree.
I'm not complaining and saying they're all bad. It doesn't matter what Pokemon game you play, there are clear winners and losers. Like Clodsire. Clodsire is an absolute cutie and fits right in with every other Pokémon released to date and has absolutely no design flaws. Everything else though? I've never played whatever the hell Temtem is but if if you pointed at most Pokemon this generation and told me they were made available in a Temtem expansion, I might believe you.

I'm going to pick up Violet and try to have fun with it. Maybe it will grow on me over time.

Anyone got any story/character leaks by the way? I know its autistic to care about the story of a children's game but given I will have to endure whatever mess the writers came up with for the first couple of hours of playing it I wanna know for how much cringe I need to prepare myself for.

I'm going to pick up Violet and try to have fun with it. Maybe it will grow on me over time.
Best mindset to go into this with, to be honest. When I picked up Sword a few years back I thought the same and thought that even if it ended up being terrible, I'd probably be entertained by it for a while. In the end I was pleasantly surprised and actually ended up liking it quite a bit, despite all its flaws.

I might pick up Violet as well. I don't care too much about the exclusives given one can just trade them in but I think the box legendary in that one looks slightly less retarded at least.

Some game fluff hinting at the DLC was apparently found in the game.

It’s basically a mishmash of the three Legendary Beasts and I suspect that Paradox Virizion will be the same thing (with the possibility of having Keldeo thrown in for consistency’s sake).

EDIT: HP-recovering moves like Roost and Recover have had their PP counts nerfed, they’re now limited to 5 PP. Stallfags on suicide watch.

EDIT 2:
Protean has been nerfed, it now only activates once each time the Pokemon enters the battle instead of activating whenever the Pokemon attacks. There are also rumors that Intimidate only works once per battle in order to prevent stacking stat drops.

Paradox Suicune looks great. I like that concept way more than what we have seen so far with the other paradoxes.
And now GF has an excuse to have this in the games wow

The little itemfinder guy makes me think of Grey Matter from Ben 10 and it's bugging the crap out of me.

Also this is a legit serious question I have regarding all of these Pokémon, locations and stuff: How much of this is true to form in real-life Spain? I refuse to believe ugliness is a common sight to see in wildlife and the like.

5. Yes.

6. No, Paradox Pokemon are standalone and don't evolve from (or into) anything else. They're also late game content.

Considering how terastallization works, I think it'll be fine in the end.

>Weed Cat has Protean
>Protean is nerfed
>Weed Cat is now ugly and less competitively viable

Part of Pokemon's appeal, at least to me, is exploration of a new region with each generation as well at meeting new characters so that mitigates my disappointment. SWSH had a lackluster story (I could tell that Rose was the big bad from his first appearance), but I still logged in over 1000 hours, mostly because I was using the Matsuda method for breeding (using a Japanese Ditto with all perfects IVs) or farming items via Dynamax raids. I did manage to get a shiny Cinderace, Inteleon, Corviknight, and Blaziken that way. I would still say it's better than DP and their remakes.

Some have said the fifth generation was the pinnacle of the series, but it would argue that it was the sixth for me. Oh, I'm kind of tepid on XY, but I'm all about ORAS because I was always a huge Hoenn-fag since the third gen I would even go as far to say that that ORAS was slightly better than HGSS in terms of quality. I know people complain about the lack of Battle Frontier from Emerald, but I personally never cared for it. ORAS expanded more on RS than HGSS did for GS in many respects, particularly how it slightly expanded on the rival's (Brendan/May) role and made the battles with Norman and Wally feel more impactful. Plus, I dig the mystery behind Sea Mauville.

That is not to say I don't like gen five, I'll probably go replay B2W2 again at some point.

Look at it this way: Greninja is also nerfed once Pokemon HOME patch comes in. Same for Libero Cinderace if they expand the Dex like they did for the SWSH DLC.

I think nerfing Stat changers is a good move. All it really does is lower the gap between pokemon. Gives a lot more pokemon that would otherwise have literally 0 chance... to some chance.
