Pokémon (Not-So) Griefing Thread - Scarlet and Violet Released with 10 Million Copies in First 3 Days in Buggy States

The production value of these shorts always increases at the expense of the dialog making any sense in English.

2:55-3:10 is pure rushed autism.
Team Flare has always been by far the team with the weakest reason for existence, so them having stupid and nonsensical dialogue is almost in character. Even Team Skull has more reason to exist and they're basically just a bunch of high school drop outs being angsty.

And they also had the most garish outfits, as well. But the only part that I liked about them is that they're an joke on how willing are to sign up for a pyramid scheme.

Hello, my name is Team Flare Grunt. Can I interest you in Thrive diet supplements or some DOTerra oils?

Team skull just exists. They could have easily been incorporated into or replaced the Aether foundation. Every encounter with them was the plot being retarded and walking into the ghetto part of town. Hell, one of the towns even was a Pokémon ghetto but with random paint splats, boarded up doors and windows, and smashed glass everywhere. Maybe they were made that way because it would have been too similar to team galactic with nebby and the alola duo?
They were almost certainly made that way to be the comic-relief evil team.

The Aether Foundation is an actual organization with some shady business going on behind the scenes. Team skull is just a group of street thugs.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus is not going to be open world, but more along the lines of Monster Hunter.

In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Jubilife Village will serve as the base for surveying missions. After receiving an assignment or a request and preparing for their next excursion, players will set out from the village to study one of the various open areas of the Hisui region. After they finish the survey work, players will need to return once more to prepare for their next task. We look forward to sharing more information about exploring the Hisui region soon.

Honestly, while I was disappointed at first, the hints were all there. Besides, this new direction i still a big, more open break from the standard Pokémon formula.

I'm fine with that. Makes more sense for pokemon to go in the direction of Monster Hunter than BoTW or Skyrim.

Dude... Pokémon X and Y had so much true and honest potential... I feel bad tha the 20th anniversary seemed to have gotten rid of Pokémon Z...
The lack of a pokemon Z caused so many problems for this franchise it's not even funny
>caused kalos to be forgettable as a region with no expansion
>sun and moon's short dev time which probably had a cascading effect leading into the shit with pokemon on switch
>Started a trend of the generational
gimmicks being abandoned with going from megas to Z moves, leaving them underbaked
They seem to be unfucking the trend with arceus but god damn if only we got AZ's floette it would have prevented half the bullshit post gen 5

It felt obvious game freak was easing their way into more open design, not disappointed since if it was a massive open world while changing so many other things about the formula it would probably be too much too fast for them to handle. Plus they can focus on adding depth to each areas design rather than filling it with open space. Still funny though that the pokemon game that takes the most from monster hunter is the one that seems to be a single player affair with no online modes to speak of

I’ve been going through Hurricane Dorian damaged belongings this week. Found this magazine 100% intact. This was interesting to me because it was my first time seeing a spread of all the new Johto Pokémon back in 2000.

But there appears to be some kind of beta Celebi here that I haven’t seen elsewhere

It’s close to our Celebi, but different.

I kinda already assumed that, honestly.

That seems to be a maganize fan-interpretation. Remember that Celebi s a legendary and not caught in ordinary gameplay.

Pokémon Clover is a great ROMhack but then you realize that the community is complete ass to the point of being blissfully unaware they're basically parodying the communities of shitty ROM hacks like Unbound and Radical Red and putting themselves at the personable level of Gen 2 romhacks like Crystal Clear; where either the community is completely know it all and toxic or just blissfully unaware of their actions, filled with Smogoons, troons, nobodies who want to develop shitty romhacks with no balancing on their fakemons, etcetera etcetera. And guess what? It's all just you "taking 4chan too seriously".

Fuck you. Get a better community. Actually care about the people who want to play your daunting, never-to-be-spoiled mememon hack and stop circlejerking the same ten jokes and allowing 15 year olds into your servers to ruin a perfectly decent community otherwise. And stop being /VP/ shill crew and actually get your shit together, Squeetz. You have the best hack in ten years and you're this detached about it from this terrible community you made. Horseshit. Your job is more important. Give up on it. Kill it. You'll be happier when it's over instead of asking "why did this hack die so hard???" As your subjugates answer your question in real time by telling anyone they don't like toxic bullshit intended to infuriate them. You made this. You know it. End it.

Yeah I know this is mad at the internet but this is the only thread with a pokemon topic and I ain't making a new one.
Thank you for listening to my Ted talk.

My favorite pokemon is Typhiloision or Incineroar. Fire stans forever. Personally, the gen 8 games are butchering what was a perfectly good RPG. The world design is completely fucked and the pokemon designs are crap. Since the company has matured and changed hands a lot of the little things in Pokemon are gone. It's almost time to find a new game to play.

Rant over.

The Pupitar is different too, if that means anything
I wish it does but they just shrunk the scale of his horn to fit the pallete maker. Other than that the designs of Gen 2 mons have been the exact same since pre gen 2 anime. Ken really cared about the scale and shapes of the designs after the anime was started. I hate the anime, but it did make Pokémon design super ubiquitous.

Pupitar is just upside down tbh. It's the old Ken drawing. Larvitar is actually the different one and it's the same coloring, basic design and shape. Literally seems to be the side by side image that inspired the down-to-top angle we got from the sprite designer. He couldn't fit the whole horn in so he shrunk it with perspective tricks. Ken never drew another mon from a straight angle again because of this. He always did it as if you were looking at a Mon from the ground thereafter.
