Yes. My bad, I knew this mechanic got removed a few gens ago and assumed they just cut Chatter from the games alongside a couple of other moves in Gen 8.Or did you mean the recording mechanic?
I think it was the G.S. ball that's the only one i can think of.Random thought came to mind checking out a Yellow longplay. What was the custom Poké Ball in Oak's Parcel, anyway? Do we ever get a clue as to what that might've been?
Kurt and Professor Oak are canonical buddies, so probably an apricorn ball.Random thought came to mind checking out a Yellow longplay. What was the custom Poké Ball in Oak's Parcel, anyway? Do we ever get a clue as to what that might've been?
THE WONDER TRADE STATION PROJECT HAS STARTEDPokémon BDSP finally gets new content. Only several months later than expected
You can now LEGALLY get Darkrai and Arceus. Former with mystery gift, later with a save file of Legends Arceus on your switch #norefunds.
I honestly forgot about them removing moves as a positive. Fuck Pursuit, fuck Hidden Power. Most of the rest of the moves they removed were fluff like Barrier and Bubble or were too good as coverage moves like Signal Beam. Trimming moves was for the better balance wise.My best bit of Gen 8 apologia is that they removed fucking Hidden Power. It was an *enormous* pain if you wanted to breed for it on cart along with good IVs, egg moves, and nature, and with injected mons and in sims it gave anything you wanted perfect or near-perfect coverage. Shit like HP Ice, Grass, and Bug have stunted competitive Pokemon into switch-counter-switch for almost 20 years.
There's something heavy and historic about these words. Finally...You can now LEGALLY get Arceus.

It's always been weird to me that Electric has always been a defensively superior typing but they like to it on fast, weakling mons with limited movepools. The only Electric success stories I can think of in the last 10 years have been Tapu Koko, Zeraora, and Regieleki and all of them are shut down by a single Ground type.Signal Beam is, in my opinion, the only unjustifiable removal in Sword and Shield. Bug is an awful typing offensively, with more resists than any other type, but for many Pokemon it was one of the few decently-powered coverage options they have, most frequently it was Electric types that lacked any other options, though many Ice and Psychic types with bad movepools also used it. When it comes to electric types in particular, losing both Hidden Power AND Signal Beam made many of them unusable in an offensive capacity(like Jolteon)
It's a bit like only giving Quick Attack and ExtremeSpeed to pokemon that are already fast. It makes sense thematically, but what's the point? It's always been weird to me that Electric has always been a defensively superior typing but they like to it on fast, weakling mons with limited movepools.
