Personally I don't specifically hate bipedal designs, I just don't like the "human" bipedal designs. 2 of the 3 starters from SwSh were just people in costumes, and the other was an animal. It looks like SV is taking the same approach with their starters.

I can already see furfags sexualizing it. Unless it has some cool animations and tech, I guess I'll evolve a Sprigatito up for the dex entry and then dump it. If it has a nice shiny form, I may try and breed for one. Otherwise, Clodsire is where it's at.

I think the starter fire pokemon final form is based on those singing skulls from Day of the Dead. But that's in Mexico and this game is taking place in Spain.

I wouldn't expect the nips to give a shit about that subtlety (and I hope they keep not giving a shit).
Right of the bat fire starter wins purely on not being humanoid. Well that and I like ghost types.

Yeah its based on Day of the Dead Calaveras/sugar skulls.
Also there's already people complaining about how it's culturally insensitive/"bad research" on GameFreak's part for putting Mexican designs (sombrero, Day of the Dead, quesadillas as a food item) in a game set in Spain lol. Reminds me of the idiots who trash talk Ludicolo and say it either needs to be redesigned or removed.
I was planning on going Fuecoco, since I like alligators & crocodiles, and Ghost type is my favorite typing, but there's just something about Skeledirge's design I'm not entirely fond of.
Also Chadsire is a top tier design and will have a spot on my team.
