Pokémon (Not-So) Griefing Thread - Scarlet and Violet Released with 10 Million Copies in First 3 Days in Buggy States

Yeah, I just tried that. I did it for a few ability patches shortly after getting one a few days ago but now when I recall Miraidon back to the party after riding it, the fresh Miraidon isn't carrying an item. I think it's been patched.
Weird, I'm duping right now and it works perfect. Gotta love dead workplaces.

They respecced and made a great game at the cost of their coding abilities, thankfully theres no bugs that are truly gamebreaking or dangerous to the console this time, unlike SwSh
The new one doesn't look so great though. Does it end up playing better than it looks? Are the complaints about performance overblown?

Most of the complaints are justified. The thing is, the game is fun enough that a lot of people overlook the performance issues. The issues are still worth complaining about though.

For the most part people are just memeing about minor visual glitches, lag and unintentionally funny bits like NPCs walking through your battles, on occasion your camera will poke through the floor and you'll see the void but its somewhat rare. Its basically just retards bandwagoning on other retards saying "THIS IS LITERALLY UNPLAYABBBBLE" and you'll notice they all reference only two or three semi weird visual things people recorded like the bikeless glitch, the horse/tallman glitch or the AWOOGA AWOOGA eye glitch.

Tldr way overblown by retards, gane can be a smidge laggy too

Why are your standards so low?
There's video footage of the game completely crashing during completely regular gameplay
Is this normal and acceptable?

Never crashed for me, and I haven't seen any nightmare glitches in my game either. Its not fantastic, but I'm mainly just happy the game is fun. Its a start for where Pokemon really should be, so I can overlook a bit.

YMMV
It may also depend on the model of switch (aging hardware and whatnot) - I've definitely heard of more issues with people who have older release switches though I've had mine for about 4 years and I don't get much lag. It performs better when docked (may be placebo?) so Lite users may have more issues. I have had a few crashes which all have happened when I'm going through UIs very fast (scrolling through dex at max speed, backing in and out of boxes)
I don't think the gameplay is acceptable from a franchise with the pure amount of monetary power Pokémon has but that doesn't mean I can't enjoy the game. The only truly unacceptable bug in my opinion is getting shoved into the void by Pokémon battles because you can't use it for any fun glitches because that should just not happen at all. You can clip into the void manually at specific points too but that feels less insulting than the other method since you've gone out of your way to do it.

Theres a good guide my BLAINES on youtube where you can build a Gholdengho to 1-shot raids solo, you get AI partners but them dying doesn't reduce the raid timer so you have several turns to buff with Nasty Plot, debuff with Metal Sound, and then one-shot with Modest boosted Metal Coat boosted Steel Beam.
It doesn't actually work against 6 star raids. Someone else also tried it and it did a quarter of the HP bar at most, which means it also triggers the shield. Multiplayer is the only viable way as of now and luckily most people doing 6 star raids aren't retards.

Also holy shit multiplayer raid is so bugged. Make sure to save beforehand because apparently you can get stuck in the "getting ready" phase as the host with no option of starting the battle and with no way of exiting other than closing the game.

Yeah the multiplayer raids are absolute shit, I don't know how they managed to make the system worse from SWSH but Gamefreak has a real knack for doing this kind of shit. Fortunately raids don't give you a massive advantage especially if you don't care about competitive stuff. Half the Pokémon used in tournaments are hacked so who cares.
The gap between 5 and 6 star raids is really, really large and it's probably quite deceiving for the average child.

Trying to get perfect viable legendaries is too fucking difficult, also I read this article that was released a day or two ago that basically exists to suck Wolfe Glick's cock and the fucker had the gaul to say "a part of my league prep is to perfectly calculate and press A at the right hundred-thousandths of a second to make sure I encounter a perfect nature perfect IV shiny legendary" like no you retard, you didn't, you can't say you inject because you're sponsered by Nintendo but we all know you hack your shit in.

Oh yeah no, I totally get the use of RNG manipulation for speedruns and shiny hunting but one of the devs of PKHeX did an analysis and nearly half of the Pokémon were visibly hacked, who knows about the other half.
Anyway competitive battling is autistic as hell and if anything injection makes it less autistic/time wasting lol

They may have made it 100x easier these days to get battle ready Pokemon (but then the retards go and remove Pokerus and don't let auto-battles give you EV's), but the truth of the matter is, hacking is the only reasonable way to compose more than 1 viable competitive team. Getting perfect Pokemon is a full time job that 99.9% of players ain't got fucking time for.
Spend 40+ hours making a team that might be complete and utter shit, or 5 minutes on a computer program for the same results. It's not rocket science. The only people who actually care are "purists", aka elitist faggots with no life or responsibility so they can spend 20 hours a day breeding perfect Pokemon. These faggots will get insanely angry if they even catch a hint of you injecting your Mon's, because you're invalidating all their stupid and pointless work by taking the sane option. That ultragigafaggot Verlis is one of those, despite the fact his "fans" made all his fucking teams for him, hypocritical homo.

Yep.
I'll shiny hunt for fun, nothing dedicated, sometimes I just feel like looking at something different but I don't care about hacking in anything lol

On a barely related note:
i am a faggot.png
Sat down and hit the grind and got there in the end. Also I catch every wild eeveelution I find because I'm retarded. 70 hours in all.
