kek, that's Firebrand by Progeny I talked about earlier today. I wonder if anyone can find the Monster Hunter music

Were these wallpapers in the leak? Would love to have the raw elements themselves, if possible.
Someone on 4chan made these wallpapers yesterday. They used the high res resources within the leaks, yes.

Here are my thoughts on the Gen 3 Pokemon stat changes(Gen 1-2 Pokemon untouched):
*Grovyle, which we now know was a separate Pokemon, had it's stats nerfed to fit in as a second stage evolution.
*Both Combusken and Blaziken were nerfed. Blaziken was given a lot of Speed, not nearly enough as it still gets gimped by Infernape a generation later and needs Speed Boost to compete in the future.
*Marshtomp and Swamper nerfed. Note that all of these Starters only nerf their second or third stage evos. Swamper is genederless for some reason.
*Poochyena given a massive Speedboost, however Mightyena was HEAVILY nerfed. No wonder it is so useless in the final game. - 20 in Attack is going to kill any Pokemon's viability.
*On the other hand, Zigzagoon got a massive buff to HP and Physical stats meanwhile it's Special stats were nerfed to oblivion. Linoone has a whopping -25 to Speed for some reason
*Beautifly gets a -30 in Special Attack. No wonder it is a laughing stock now, it was meant to be at least somewhat useful. Who the fuck approved this?
*Ludicolo got a nerf to it's Special stats and is also genderless
*Nuzleaf gets a +10 boost to both of it's Attack stats while it gets a debuff to everything else. Shiftry gets a further +10 Special Attack at the cost of lowering it's defenses even more. Not genderless, weirdly enough.
*All three Ninjask line Pokemon had their Speed nerfed. Shedinja gets a massive boost to Special Attack and a colossal boost to it's Defenses...which is worthless, as it only has one health point.
*Massive nerf to Swellow an a lesser one to Taillow. Swellow has a -25 Attack and -65 to Speed. What the hell were they thinking with this Pokemon? Reminder, this is a route 1 bird, well not route 1 but an early one never the less. Maybe Wingull was supposed to take that place and Taillow was supposed to be encountered later on.
*Breloom gets a debuff on everything but HP and Special Defense, where it got a buff. Frankly, I wouldn't mind it being a bit stronger, but whatever.
*Spinda got a Physical debuff and less Health and Speed. It originally also had more Special Attack, however we got extra Special Defense as a compensation. What?
*Wingull gets a buff in everything but Special Attack, meanwhile Pelliper gets a lot of Attack at the cost of a ton of Defense. Not sure why since it's still useless, should have given it more Special Attack and maybe it wouldn't have been a useless jobmon until Gen 7 when Dux strategy with Drizzle came about.
*Masquerain is yet another Pokemon that caught a ton of debuffs. -20 to Special stats could have gone a long way, now it's useless just like Beautifly. Who at Gamefreak hates bugs? Can't be Masuda.
*Random -20 to Attack for Kecleon. Thanks, Gamefreak!
*Torkoal got a massive +40 in Special Attack and a colossal hit in everything else, especially Speed where it lost 80 points. I guess this confirms that the present turtle was the original Torkoal.
*Sableye got extra Health and Attacking stats but lost on everything else. Not a big loss, if you ask me, taking this one down is enough of a pain as is(especially without fairies).
*Debuff to Whiscash on everything, including a whopping -50HP. Whiscash is yet another useless Pokemon that could have been good with just a smidge better stats. I am seeing a pattern here.
*Crawdaunt lost 25 Speed, 30 Special Attack and a ridiculous 60 in Attack. What? If you're going to make it slow, frail and useless on the Special side(where both of it's STABs are in Gen 3 btw), at least let it keep it's Attack stat!
*Minor hits of HP for Makuhita line. Why? We're talking -2 and -4 respectively.
*Numel line got a -5 in both Special stats, each. Thanks, Gamefreak?
*Sealo, and only Sealo, got a one way ticket to Nerf City on everything but it's Speed. I guess Walrein was a late addition and they needed to make Sealo weaker artificially.
*Cacturne got hit with a -55 to both of it's Attacking stats and it is still ridiculously powerful in the base game. What the fuck were they thinking? How about some Defenses or Speed instead?
*Glalie gets a -20 to everything, confirming it originally had 100 stats across the board. Fuck you too, Gamefreak, that's only one of two Ice Types in the Hoenn dex.
*Grumpig gets +15 useless Attack, debuffs to everything else. You know, I think he could have used extra +20 HP, +30 Special Attack and +50 Special Defense to keep him relevant, wouldn't you say? I guess Gamefreak disagrees! I am actually using this one in my Revelation playthru that is on hold, so it hurts me personally.
*Minun gets a boost in Physical stats and a debuff to Speed and Special stats. Plusle is unchanged. Why would you make one of these clearly worse than the other?
*Medicham got hit with debuffs to Special Attack, Defense and Special Defense. I guess they wanted to make him a physical glass canon by giving him Pure Power?
*Swablu got debuffed, Altaria got buffs.
*Duskull received +10 Attack where as Duskclops got that much Attack taken away. Why?
*Vigoroth got a debuff on everything aside from it's useless Special stats. Yet another Pokemon that could have been good, but was willingly nerfed. BTW Slakoth and only Slakoth is genderless, so are a bunch of other Pokemon I haven't mentioned. I think this is just an oversight, it's too random to be intentional.
*Swalot got absolutely raped, especially in the HP and Defenses. No wonder nobody uses it!
*Loudred, and only Loudred, got a buff to both Defenses and it's Special Attack. Why it's Physical Attack and Health were reduced is beyond me, the thing isn't overpowered.
*-55 to Attack and -23 Special Attack for Bannete. I guess we know where the idea for the Mega came from!
*Lairon and especially Aggron caught massive debuffs to Attack and Defense. It hurts, as I always loved this line. Yet another idea for the Mega?
*Debuffs across the line for Cradily, for everything except it's useless Speed stat. -47 to Special Defense has to be a winner here, this is literally the worst thing you could do to this Pokemon.
*-65 Attack and -40 Defense to Armaldo. As someone who uses this Pokemon in his current playthru, it's not as big of a hit as with Grumpig as lack of useful moves is the bigger issue, but I would definitely want those stats back.
*-35 to Attack and -40 to Defense for Shelgon. At first I thought the Attack debuff was done to make it something of a Caccon Pokemon, but why take away Defense as well? Oh, I guess +10 to Special Defense will make up for it, thanks Gamefreak!
*Metang gets -40 Defense/-20 Special Defense and -15 Attack but +10 Speed. Probably nerfed when Metagross was introduced, but why make it so bulky?
*Lati twins got +10 across the board
Overall, not a fan. We were robbed, so many now useless Pokemon would have been viable both in ADV and maybe a few generations later. I guess Gamefreak wasn't any better at balancing back then as it is now, huh? At least some of these got brought back as Megas.

There is still a matter of different abilities, so I will see if any of them changed much.

so where's all that leaked info on Pokemon Horizons?
Unless they changed plans in the meantime,
in the second part of the series there will be a 2 years timeskip and the characters will actually age. It seems Friede will heel turn right before that.

Google translated leak I found on xitter

I fucking knew there was something sketchy about Kalos

The gen6 games were WAY too fucking small, including the Pokedex, which was fucking pitiful (and still is). So i guess to compensate they make a big-ass story that's more fat than meat.

They were stealing even the color of pokémon for some reason

Is that real? It looks like a 4chan shitpost. The additions to the map don't make any sense with what we already have, they look tacked on.
Yeah. I didnt post it when it was just a image, but you can layer it to connect to the spain region too. So it is definitely real

Also they got the demo right now.

But going back to the fourth gen: here is a translated version of what they wanted to do and their initial ideas. The perfect game would be something like this, so many cool ideas.

There wont be any stuff of sun and moon, so they will skip it right to the switch games after they are done with 3ds.

Don't worry, Z edition will fix it! oh wait
Don't worry, Z-A edition will fix it!

Anyways, here is my observations on various abilities for Gen 3 Pokemon.
First of all, a lesser known fact about RSE: Originally not every Pokemon was supposed to get an ability. Some would simply have no abilities, which can still be activated in the final game by giving the Pokemon "None" ability that does nothing. That said, I will mention it if a Pokemon did not have any abilities planned from the start:

*None of the starters have any abilities, except for Blaziken which has Flash Fire. This confirms two things, one that Torrent/Blaze/Overgrowth were late game additions and that Blaziken got the most love out of all the starters thru out the development
*Poochyena has no ability, while Mightyena has Sturdy. Similarly, Zigzagoon has no ability, while Linoone has Intimidate. In the final game, Mightyena gets Intimidate and neither get Sturdy. Not sure what the train of logic here is, but it's interesting to see that first and even second stage evolutions might not have had abilities at one point.
*Wurmple has nothing, Silcoon has Swift Swim, Cascoon has Chlorophyll and Beautifly has...Volt Absorb. Dustox eats shit as it has no ability. Okay, I guess abilities were either shuffled about or not thought thru yet. Still, if Beautifly had both it's original high stats and Volt Absorb, it could have been quite a good Pokemon. To add insult to injury, Dustox is still Bug/Flying here instead of Bug/Poison.
*Seedot and Shiftry has no abilities, Nuzleaf has Immunity. Interesting choice, but Chlorophyll and Early Bird are just much better.
*Taillow has Immunity while Swellow has Insomnia. No clue what the logic here is, but this resistance to status must have inspired the later change to giving both Guts
*Shroomish gets nothing, but Breloom gets Speed Boost. Now this is interesting, imagine how retarded it would be to have a Spore mon that has Speed Boost, especially in Gen 3. Absolutely broken, now I want to see this in action. Maybe that's why Swellow has Insomnia? Cut lore on how it developed resistance against it while hunting Brelooms, perhaps?
*Spinda has Oblivious and Cloud Nine(?) instead of Own Tempo. Spinda was never going to take the world of competitive Pokemon by storm, but letting it keep Own Tempo is probably for the best.
*Wingull gets Compoundeye, while Pelliper eats shit. I guess we know why in the final game it has Keen Eye, still the line is absolutely useless until Gen 7 anyways.
*Surskit has Water Absorb while Masquerain keeps Intimidate from the final game. Not sure how useful Water Absorb was going to be on a first stage Pokemon, honestly I just want that stat boost to Masquerain back.
*Wailmer has nothing while Wailord only has Water Veil, only one of it's two abilities in the final game. Clearly unfinished or not thought thru properly.
*Both Skitty and Delcatty have Run Away on top of Cute Charm. I guess it makes sense, but for the sake of the dozen people who raise this thing competitively(me being one of them), I am glad we only got Cute Charm.
*Baltoy line has Soundproof over Levitate. Oversight more than anything else, considering how even it's early dex entries talk about it levitating.
*Torkoal has Flame Body instead of White Smoke. Not really a game changer, again I just want higher stats back.
*Sableye would have had Insomnia on top of Keen Eye. Now this would have made it extremely dangerous, as much as I would love to play with it I would absolutely hate going against it. In the end, it's for the best Sableye was nerfed.
*Barboach line has nothing yet.
*Luvdisc has Cute Charm instead of Swift Swim. So in other words, they took away the only decent thing it has, Speed, and nerf it for a lore ability. Luvdisc can just never catch a break!
*Corphish line had no Shell Armor yet. Pure Water at this point.
*Feebas would have kept Marvel Scale just like Milotic.
*On the inverse, Carvanha has Rough Skin while Sharpedo has nothing.
*Trapinch would have had Sand Stream while Vibrava and Flygon would have had Compoundeyes. Not gonna lie, Sand Stream Trapinch would have been all sorts of interesting: Trapinch actually has just as much Attack as Flygon, just with pathetic Speed and Defenses. Moreover, only Tyranitar has Sand Stream in ADV if I recall correctly, giving Trapinch a genuine niche outside Little Cup. Remember, it can actually fight back if it can outspeed the opponent or take a hit, which is not impossible. Vibrava and Flygon would be useless tho, as they would not be immune to Ground anymore. Vibrava is especially useless as it is just pure Ground type at this point.
*Makuhita line would have had Pure Power. Now this is interesting, in my last post I noted how this looked to originally be a Pokemon that depended on brute strength alone, just like Machop line. Well, it looks like I was right, and a change was made later on to make it more of a technical Fighting type. I don't need to point out how broken an already high Attack Fighting Type with Pure Power would have been, we've been robbed!
*Now this is interesting: Elektrike line would have bad Volt Absorb/Magnet Pull, fulfilling the same role of Steel Type removal as Magneton with the added bonus of being immune to Electric attacks like Jolteon. Real shame, could have been a real contender for the Electric meta in ADV right up there with Jolteon and Zapdos as well as an alternative to Magneton.
*Speal gives us an insight into the second ability of his evo line: Water Absorb. This would have been real handy, especially as Thick Fat is also useful. Just like with Elektrike line, this would have given Walrein two very different playstyles, which is a great utilization of the Abilities feature. Cut for unknown reasons, probably balancing.
*Cacnea line has Cloud Nine instead of Sand Veil. Absolutely useless, Sand Veil is the one thing that made it worth using in ADV, before it was banned thanks to Garchomp.
*Speaking of which, Snorunt get Sand Veil while Glalie gets nothing. Placeholder for Snow Warning, predating Abomasnow? Would have made the damn thing much more useful!
*Lunatone gets Synchronize while Solrock gets nothing, confirming that Lunatone came first and Solrock was a late addition. Getting rid of Levitate makes no sense and would have made both much worse.
*Azurill and Wyanut both have no abilities, confirming that baby Pokemon would have lacked them.
*Spoink Line has Early Bird. Useless, Thick Fat Grumpig at least has a niche, even after it got nerfed. Thanks, Gamefreak!
*Both Plusle and Minun already have Plus/Minus, which means this was going to be the plan from the start. Abilities are still useless, should have completely revamped them or replaced them with something else.
*Mawile has Insomnia over Hyper Cutter and Intimidate. Very interesting choice, but not sure how it would have tailored it's playstyle. At least Intimidate has a hit-and-run advantage.
*Medidite has Water Absorb and Medicham has nothing. Another placeholder.
*Speaking of, Swablu line has nothing.
*Duskull has nothing, meanwhile Dusclops has Pickup on top of Pressure. Absolutely useless and makes no sense, glad it was changed.
*Roselia lacks Poison Point, late addition to the game?
*Vigoroth has Hustle/Guts instead of Vital Spirit. Guts has a lot of potential, Hustle not so much. Wish Vital Spirit and Guts were used alongside each other, would have given you more reasons not to evolve Vigoroth into the big rape ape.
*Tropius has nothing.
*Whismur has nothing, meanwhile Loudred is a Fighting type and has Pure Power. This alongside the debuffs it got makes me think this was originally an unrelated Fighting type that was then merged with Whismur line to make it more useful. Exploud has Drizzle btw, not sure if it makes any sense but it would have been glorious in battle. Imagine a reality where Exploud is OU and makes Rain as retarded OP as it would become 2 generations later, keep in mind that in Gen 3 this ability was unique to Kyogre.
*Clamperl would have had Illuminate and Gorebyss would have had Serene Grace. Clamperl is already useless with Shell Armor, taking that away would have made it even worse. Serene Grace Gorebyss, on the other hand, sounds promising. I would have to look over it's movepool to see if it has anything useful to synergize with Serene Grace, but I think it could potentially be a sleeper hit in the right hands.
*Absol has Trace, probably a leftover from it's Yin-Yang design. This would have made Absol an interesting opponent to fight, maybe make up for it's inability to use it's STABs this generation. Would have been even more useful Gen 4 and onwards.
*Shuppet would have had Insomnia/Run Away and Banette would have had Run Away/Shadow Tag. In the final game, it only has Insomnia, an amazing ability on it's own, but Shadow Tag? Remember, this ability was enough to get Wyanut banished to Ubers, think what it could have done to a Pokemon that can fight back(especially with it's Mega Pokemon stats it originally had). Potential for one of the best Pokemon in the game, reduced to an average one nobody really uses. What a way to go.
*Relicanth lacks Rock Head, potentially a late addition to the game.
*Aron line also lacks Rock Head, seemingly confirming my belief.
*Fossils have no abilities and are pure Rock types.
*Metagross has Pressure for some reason, a useless change
*Bagon line has no abilities, Salamence is pure Dragon
*Regis have Pressure as well, all except Registeel who has nothing
*Kyogre has Static(lol) and Groundon has nothing
*Latis and Chimecho have their final abilities, anyone I didn't mention has nothing.
Overall, it's a mixed bag. While some would be absolute game changers, others are headscratchers, placeholders or just haven't been implemented yet. Shadow Tag for Bannete and the original abilities for Elektrike line would have been my picks for bringing back, same goes for Drizzle Exploud just for giggles.

Funny, there is no Pokemon that uses "Cacaphony" unused ability. Makes me wonder if it was a late addition to the game or an extremely early one.

Gonna post my favorite ideas from 4 gen here, lots of them were in GBA and others were implemented in later gamea

-Your eyes get used to the darkness When you enter a cave, it's pitch black at first, but it gradually gets brighter. Over time, you'll be able to see without the flash.
-Vehicles Ships, airships, Cessnas, buses, etc.
- Morning, noon, night 5 stages of change. The passage of time is expressed by the lighting on the field in units of time (discontinuously).
- Map changes over time Tides. The water level in ponds and other places changes, and depending on the time of day, waterfalls will flow and you can go up, or the waterfalls will disappear and reveal caves.
- Make it your own gym You can become like a gym leader.
- Smoke ball When activated, smoke will be emitted and the screen will turn completely white. Rub the touch panel to wipe it off!
-Marking Internal changes in Pokemon, such as becoming tame or intelligent, are displayed as symbols and pictures of the Pokemon's status.
-Berries only in overseas versions There are berries and mail that only exist in overseas versions. You can't get fruit unless you go to a ROM in a different language.
- Pokégear Gear with comprehensive functions. Hangs around the neck. Reminiscent of an I-pod. Mainly has information about all Pokémon. Database.
- Asks "Should I save?" Asked after a certain amount of time has passed, or when in front of a legendary Pokémon.
- There are different encounters depending on whether it's morning, noon or night. All 481 types of Pokemon appear.
- Representation of water Pokemon Sometimes the shadows of Pokemon are shown in the water. Sometimes there are giant fish Pokémon swimming around. There is a high chance that you will catch that Pokémon when fishing.
- Diversification of encounters - Different Pokémon are encountered in the sun or shade, and when walking or running.
- Pokémon hiding in the grass - If you stand still on the map, you will hear the cries of wild Pokémon and the grass will shake. If you go to that location you will encounter it.
- Double battle with wild Pokémon Double battle with wild Pokémon.
- Skin color Slightly expands the range of trainer races.
- Ghost Pokemon Living in the Ruins Ghost Pokemon from overseas have taken up residence in the ruins without you knowing, and you can identify them with the Silph Scope.
- Tidal flats Garbage floats down here every day. If you keep it clean, many Pokemon will come.
- Pokemon part-time job You can train Pokemon other than the ones you have by sending them out to work part-time.
- Scary events, scary Pokemon These are things that make you want to see scary things over and over again. A figure in an empty castle!? People don't talk about it for some reason. A cursed place!?
-

But going back to the fourth gen: here is a translated version of what they wanted to do and their initial ideas. The perfect game would be something like this, so many cool ideas.

Early version of Mewtwo's battle theme with Diantha's leitmotif (instead of gen 1 sound effects) incorporated into it exists in xy.cci and y20130122_075257.cci. This is almost certainly real.

Edit 2: have included a .zip of the xy.cci sound files dump for greater accessibility. Also unsure about the spacecraft arrived thing now since it sounds rather different and does not appear in the .zip. HOWEVER. EVERYTHING ELSE IS INCLUDED IN THE RIPPED SOUND FILES. XYSIDER WON.

I can only imagine the torrent of porn we are about to get from this.
Something of note: There is more than one story where the Pokemon comes back after the dicking, willingly. This means that this isn't something out of the ordinary in the Pokemon world. Nothing can compete with human males, it is simply a fact.
Pokemon being able to impregnate humans and vice versa is also now confirmed canon. In fact, all of this was meticulously documented by Gamefreak, they took hours to write this into the canon. That wouldn't be the case if this wasn't the word of god, as intended.
Whenever you read or see a piece of poke-shipping or pokephilia, just remember that it is canon and Masuda approves. Now we know why he loves bugs in his anus!
Finally, the Japanese can show Greenpeace they aren't cruel to animals, and the rest of the world has the justification to nuke them again.

I know that there was a gen that introduced gender differences in pokemon sprites (like pikachu's tail or something) but "academic" does sound as some people like say "sus".

From the name I expected the leak to be 1tb and not 35gb
Oh don't worry, what we have will easily take you over 200GB once fully disassembled, and we haven't even gotten to some games yet.

The early maps for RS have plenty of hidden secrets as well. This includes:
*Almost completely removing flowers from the game. There is only a hint of them in the final game, where as they were everywhere in the Beta.
*Many buildings were redesigned.
*Route 116 has been completely revamped, it originally had a large pave road. The tunnel itself was also more complicated to navigate.
PKMNRS-Route_116_xls.png
PKMNRS-Cave02_1_map.png
*Weather Institute was originally in Slateport, which would explain why Castform is so weak if it was still a gift Pokemon. Contest Halls looked completely different.
PKMNRS-Slateport_City_xls.png
*Mauville had a much brighter palette, to match Wattson's gym. Cosmo's house was also located here instead of Fallabour. Route leading to Mauville from the South lacks the gatehouse for the Cycling Road, New Mauville and the Trick House.
PKMNRS-Mauville_City_xls.png
*You can make your way to Lavaridge from Route 112 directly as there is no cliffs in the way. Fiery Path and Jagged Path did not exist yet.
PKMNRS-Route_112_xls.png
*Route 117, the one with a Day Care, was missing the ponds in the beta and had not just 3 but 4 flower gardens compared to the 2 in the final game. The area with the trees, berry fields and a joggin Triathlete right by Day Care was completely redesigned to become one of the said flower gardens.
PKMNRS-Route_117_xls.png
*Route 119, the one where Feebas can be caught and where Weather Institute was originally located, has been completely redesigned. There is no more water present and instead you get extra cliffs, mountains and tall grass to navigate.
PKMNRS-Route_119_xls.png
*Route 120 has similarly been completely redesigned, with the lake at the north side of the map being moved to the South. This means that Scorched Slab wasn't implemented yet and neither are the ancient ruins(No Regi ruins are at this point). The general layout of the map is much different, there is a lot more going on instead of a small grass maze in the final game.
PKMNRS-Route_120_xls.png
*Route 121 lacks the fence maze and the Safari Zone.
PKMNRS-Route_121_xls.png
*Route 123 wasn't originally a one-way ledge drop from Mt. Pyre and instead a normal open route that connected the two sides of the map. Berry Master's house is present, but closed and inaccessible.
PKMNRS-Route_123_xls.png
*Lilycove lacks the Department Store and has a regular Poke Mart instead, this cell is actually still in the final game but completely inaccessible. You didn't originally need to make your way all the way to the top of the cliffs and then drop down to access the beach, the area was much more open much like Route 123.
PKMNRS-Lilycove_City_xls.png
*Rote 124 has a different layout, lacks the Treasure Hunter's house and you can swim directly to Route 125 without going to Mossdeep
PKMNRS-Route_124_xls.png
*Mossdeep not only lacks the building for the Space Administration, but the launch site from Emerald is actually unused content that was originally planned for RS.
PKMNRS-Mossdeep_City_xls.png
*Route 130 is empty and Mirage Island didn't seem to exist yet. Similarly, Route 131 is empty and Sky Pillar didn't exist yet.
*Route 133, the one with the currents that push you towards Slateport, has been completely redesigned and the only thing of note is a small island.
PKMNRS-Route_133_xls.png
*The leak has uncovered the famous Festa demo for Route 104 in all it's glory.
PKMNRS-Route_104_Festa_2002.png
*Lastly, this was uncovered 4 years ago from the Gigaleak, but it appears that originally Meteor Falls didn't actually have any water in it. In fact, the only thing of note was a basement floor with the prototype for the Ice Cave, before that was moved for the Shoal Cave.

You know what... they probably stuck the space thing in ORAS, which is how we wound up battling Deoxus with Mega Rayquaza instead of whatever was planned for X/Y, which sounds like there was a lot more going on.

Back
