For anyone who knows, is Celia's Stupid Romhack worth playing? From what I see it seems to be puzzle based with a lot of Reddit humour, and this post doesn't help.

I was watching a playthrough of that thing and it has a Nidoqueeng with zippertits in it, I found this in fact very offensive.

I don't think it's detrimental to a player's experience to lookup more nuanced details about a new move or ability. Especially if there are supposedly 360 new species bringing all of these new things in.

It's not like anyone browses a wiki to spoil everything for themselves, it's just to find clarification on something you're partially aware of. Not that it matters anyway who cares if someone wants to spoil something for themselves. Policing the sacred Pokémon texts is silly. lol

The problem isn't spoiling themselves. If the hack does have enough players and they did organize the information of the game itself that is totally fine and dandy.

What can't be right is the game creator making a in depth list of what is in the game and what was changed and so on. Even more in an original idea game that isn't the same shit as fire red or emerald for example.

Speaking of fangames, I have an idea for one. Since the 2d games are easier to make fan games and romhacks around, you get too see gens 1-5 very frequently. My idea for a fan game is to do the opposite, have the vast majority of pokemon in the regional dex be from gens 6-9 (plus ZA megas). This would also solve the issue many roms and fan games have of bloating the encounter table with EVERY pokemon. Maybe throw in some fanmade regional forms for gens 1-5 mons to keep it balanced.

I'm far from being knowledgeable on fan game or romhack developing but that's been an idea I've had for a while now.

Someone needs to make a "Definitive" version of X/Y that adds everything that came from the leaks while also adding improvements that makes the games not suck as much. Things like better gym battles, smarter AI, giving Zygarde a bigger focus like he was given in SM/USUM.

I know there's also "Unova Red", which is a rom of og red and blue. UR included a couple new moves like bug bite and changed dark to a physical type and ghost to a special type.

I'm having the same problem and thought it was just on my end. When I edit the post, even the thumbnails for the attached files show up as white squares. I'm going to make the assumption that it's because of the website's most recent update.
