Yeah, but the Poison makes it neutral. Dark's also immune to Psychic, so you can avoid that weakness. You'll only have a Ground weakness now, but Fairies don't tend to carry Ground moves. Drapion would actually be a really solid choice.
But my girlfriend likes Arbok, so I chose that instead. :heart-full:

As for Vivillon, some patterns are absurdly sought-after. I'm not big on cutesy Pokémon, so i'm not all that fussed, but I can see why people would want them - it's like an international Unown hunt!

Venoshock isn't the best idea for something with such low special attack, on average Poison Jab outdamages it simply due to how much better its attack is. the 50 power differnce is negated by that by a very large margin between base 100 Attack and base 55 Special Attack, plus you don't have to keep reapplying poison after each kill. It also doesn't help that most fairies have much higher special defense than defense.

Does Poison Jab come in a TM? I've been looking for it since I got Scolipede, but I can't find it.

It's TM84 can it can be bought at the Shalour City Pokemart.
 
Alright, so looks like I'm snagging Pokemon X for myself sometime in the next weeks. Um, would it be cool if I PM some people in this thread for Friend Codes when I do? I don't know anyone in IRL that plays Pokemon. I'd be nice to be able to trade with people and fill up the Friend Safari. I'm not a creepy stalker, I swear.

Also, I think my vivillon pattern MIGHT be Garden.

Finally got Pokemon X... I must say, this entry really feels like it refreshed the series. Training and raising pokemon is really fun with all the mini games and Pokemon-amie...

And, I just ventured into the GTS. Good to know that trade ettiquette is still the same. "MEWTWO FOR VIVILLLON".

Well, if you have a rare Vivillon pattern, you can get pretty much anything you want for it. People are going crazy over those.
