It's piss easy to do in FR/LG.

>Get Amulet Coin.
>Get VS Seeker.
>Go to Route 8.
>Use VS Seeker around Gambler.
>Repeatedly fight until you get the amount of cash you need.
>Go to Celadon Casino.
>Profit.

I was talking about the og red/blue but thx for the info. :D

Porygon wasn't the biggest pain to get back in gen 1. I remember Tauros being a pain in the ass to get too b/c of the bullshit safari zone mechanics but it was worth getting since it was op back then.

Plus, has anyone played Unite yet? How is it?
My brother's played it, and I've watched some matches. If you like the idea of 5v5 battles, but don't want to sink like an hour a game into League or Dota or something, Unite's right up your alley. It seems fun, easy to understand, games are like 10-15 minutes, and there are a lot of mons to choose from. Not sure how balanced they all are, Venusaur is bad and Zeraora is broken, are the opinions of the people I've seen. But I guess you'll always run into that with mobas.

It's something about the MOBA format that makes me watch streams of that game for some reason, even though I have no interest of playing the game, even with the small roster compared to the main games, and the game not having the gimmicks from the main games (Mega Evolutions and Primal Reversion, Z-Moves, and Dynamaxing and Gigantamaxing). I wish that Tencent would have went all-out on that, even if it would be a massively unbalanced mess.

And who's decision was it to not have the score board visible while in-game?

It literally has P2W stat-boost items that give whales insurmountable advantages over regular players

Not the same devs, but doesn't Splatoon do the same thing? Or can you see the turf war percentage during the match, I can't remember.

Does it? I've only seen a handful of matches from newbie players, enough to understand the mechanics, I haven't seen any of the monetization.

Ooo, do tell!

Remember, this only works for Emerald. There's a trick/cheat that effectively let's you steal Pokémon from the Battle Factory a la Team Rocket.

Input the master code and cheat into the emulator, but, make sure to turn it on right after picking your team and before you go through the door to your match. There's codes for each location in the game, but I recommend porting to the Battle Frontier entrance. Afterwards, turn it off, because passing through a door; any door, will port you back to the same place.

Long story short, turns out, IVs of the Pokémon you use depend on your win streak. If you lose, they'll be reset to 3. Win like a motherfucker, then they're higher.

Go here for a list of cheats: https://www.supercheats.com/gameboyadvance/pokemon-emerald/13897/all-cheats/

held items can be upgraded
needs a special item to do it, said item can be bought with real money, some of those held items when fully upgraded give absurd stat boosts.
Allows whales to nearly two tap opponents.

To be fair, the game is pretty unbalanced. A good chunk of the playable pokemon have the potential to be pretty busted without the item upgrades.

I've never been a MOBA player but my brother has been playing Unite. Apparently Gengar is extremely broken if your team is good about spreading status effects. One of his abilities is Hex which apparently has no cooldown if used on someone with one and he has another ability to make himself invincible for a short amount of time. So he can go invincible, wreck 1-3 mons in a team fight with status effects with a zero cooldown ability, and then run away.

The game did just come out, so hopefully balances and reworks are in the near future. I don't think I'll play the game myself, but it does look fun.

I'm using both the My Boy and Drastic emulators for this.

So, I recently did an experiment with taking Pokémon from the Emerald Battle Factory, and, as it turns out when I traded them to Sapphire so that they could be visible for the Heartgold Pal Park (they couldn't show when still in the Emerald ROM), they all have perfect IVs.

I'm not kidding. All of the IV slots are 31. The EV points are already pre-inputted.

This is only possible because of my win streak. Had I lost and gone back to square one, they should be lower.

I used the Pokémon Generator to know this.

This is what I found.

Most Pokemon spinoffs dont last more than 1 year max. So its better to just ignore the mobile games.

not to sound like a soycuck for putting time into this game but wow. pokemon go does really kind of suck when you need to sprint across the street and then loiter by buildings looking like a weirdo holding your phone up to pray for better gps triangulation just to get fucked up the ass with potion drops instead of pokeballs at pokestops man. at least i looked less actively like a retard or schizo when i didnt need to cross the street 5 times on one road and grind on the brick and mortar of a building designated as a pokestop to get items. and then they skip alola and go straight to galar pokemon, its like the dogshittiness of swsh infected it. got robbed of my dignity and of jangmo-o. :(

I'd add in Ranger, but they just killed the poor series after three solid, screen destroying (lol) games. Sad.

But as for dead mobiles? Remember Pokémon Quest? Pokémon Duel?
How could I forget (especially Duel since I actually played that one til the end)? At least Masters actually ended their story mode.

There was also Pokemon rumble's mobile game that was JP only for some reason. The rumble games were a solid series that survived all the way from the Early Wii's life cycle into the late 3DS's life cycle before being seemingly abandoned like Ranger was along with the wierd puzzle game spinoff series "trozei" that also made it to the 3DS.

The only spin-offs I ever really got invested in were the Mystery Dungeon games. They had a fun take on Pokemon, and would be just as good (if not better in some respects) if they didn't keep using the "you used to be a human" gimmick.

Pokemon Conquest was also pretty fun, but my dumb ass didn't know how to make good team composition back then so I struggled with a lot of the post game challenges.

Mystery Dungeon's a great series, though I was really conflicted over some of the changes in Rescue Team DX. I haven't played Super Mystery Dungeon, but despite it being a more modern remake, DX felt like it took a chunk of the personality away, like the remakes of the Mario and Luigi games. The Ranger series was nice too when I first played it, but I guess I grew bored of the mechanic. Never played the Rumble series, or Conquest, but Trozei and Puzzle League were pretty fun, felt like those games had a lot of love put in them from the anime.

With home console spin-offs, I wish they'd make a new Battle Revolution though, that game was sick, same with a Colosseum/Gale of Darkness type game. And I liked Poke Park despite it being short. I really wish they'd make a modern Pokemon Channel/Hey You Pikachu type game, just a fun little electronic pet.

I feel like a lot of those, especially the Puzzle League and Channel games could be made into mobile ones, though I'm not sure they'd have the same quality or personality.
