Police report shooting near rally site as event concludes

Kansas City Chiefs fans took to the streets of the city for something NFL fans hadn’t been able to do in 20 years: celebrate a second consecutive Super Bowl championship. Kansas City saluted its third championship in the Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid era on Wednesday, with a boisterous parade in the city’s streets followed by a victory rally.

But the event ended in chaos, with police reporting that shots were fired near the site of the rally. Local television live streams showed parade-goers running in the area around Union Station, near where the rally was held, and police entering the building. “Shots were fired west of Union Station near the garage and multiple people were struck,” Kansas City police said on social media. “We took two armed people into custody for more investigation.”

Police said the shooting occurred west of Union Station near the end of the rally that followed the parade, according to KMIZ, the local ABC affiliate.
Local television live streams showed people running around the area and police entering the building. Some officers around the perimeter were seen with guns drawn.

Pretty sure someone actually did the numbers for this and it wasn't true. Without blacks America would be much, much safer but not to western European levels

As if Europe was safe and the Nordic countries didn't have millions of niggers... only difference is that in Europe, white people aren't allowed to defend themselves or own guns.

We are not safe here. Google "Sweden + explosions" ....

ABC: Police determining "applicable charges" for juvenile suspects.

So, they're trying to find a way to let the yoofs off scot-free.

ETA: a guy with a felony record picked up a gun that was dropped in the fray, thinking it was a cop's and intending on returning it, is now being charged with felony gun possession. No good deed goes unpunished.

I love how the minute this was confirmed as a general niggerdry, and not lawfully acquired/possessed firearms with a premeditation for violent acts, the following happened:

Media lost almost completely all interest.
Identities of arrested being anonymous (including race) became a priority despite previously showing video of them in custody.
Firearm laws and policy's stopped being discussed as means of preventing human tragedy.

I don't hear anyone in the media asking : "Now that we more or less know exactly what happened how could this have been prevented?" I think the answer would have been something that would have forced CNN to have someone on a debate that would eventually say something along the lines of "Maybe if the DA made sure they were incarcerated right now, they wouldn't have been able to kill people?" I'm sure the producers at CNN would never allow in a million years anyone to make a valid clear point any nig anywhere should actually be in prison for anything.

It confuses me beyond words up the dead and some wounded are being named by the media immediately but, the two niggers responsible aren't even being identified as niggers.

If we just made anyone with a known gang affiliation+ convicted felon+ possessing a firearm a mandatory 20 years we wouldn't have this problem 20+ times a week in every inner-city in every major US city. The niggers shooting at each-other typically have 4-5 felony arrests minimum. How is this unknown to the general public? This minute this stopped being a suspected act of domestic terrorism, everyone took their opinions and went home.

Two men charged with murder in mass shooting at Chiefs Super Bowl rally: prosecutor

Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker on Tuesday announced that two adults each have been charged with felony murder in the mass shooting at the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl victory rally last week.

Lyndell Mays of Raytown and Dominic M. Miller of Kansas City each face a count of second-degree felony murder, Baker announced in an afternoon news conference at the Jackson County Courthouse in downtown Kansas City.

Mays and Miller each have also been charged with two counts of armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon. They each are being held on $1 million bond.

The charges are the latest in the investigation into the mass shooting investigation, that killed one woman and injured at least 39 others, including 23 with gunshot wounds. Lisa Lopez-Galvan, a mother and popular disc jockey, was identified as the woman killed in the shooting.

Prior to the shooting, Mays was in a verbal argument with another person that he had no prior history or connection with. That argument quickly escalated and Mays drew a handgun, Baker said.

“Mays pulled his handgun first,” Baker said.

Almost immediately, others, including Miller, pulled their firearms.

While both men were charged with murder, evidence shows that it was gunfire from Miller’s firearm that struck Lopez-Galvin, Baker said.

“We seek to hold every shooter accountable for their actions on that day — every single one,” Baker said. “While we are not there yet on every single individual, we’re going to get there.”

The shooting occurred shortly before 2 p.m. Wednesday as hundred of thousands of Chiefs fans were celebrating the teams Super Bowl victory against the San Francisco 49ers. Shots fired on the west side of Union Station sent hundreds of people running for cover.

Charges were also filed last week against two teens who were being held at the Juvenile Detention Center on gun-related and resisting arrest offenses, the family court division of the Jackson County Circuit Court said in a statement Friday.

It said additional charges were expected as the investigation continued.

The Office of the Juvenile Officer acts as a prosecutor for criminal cases brought against minors with the proceedings held in family court.

Depending on the seriousness of criminal charges, juvenile defendants may face a mandatory certification hearing to determine whether they are tried as adults. Such offenses requiring a mandatory certification include first-degree assault and murder.

The Jackson County Prosecutor also has charged 36-year-old Jose L. Castillo with one count of unlawful possession of a firearm.

A witness told police he heard gunshots and then saw two males fighting. One of them dropped a handgun on the ground during the fight, according to court documents. Castillo allegedly picked up the firearm and walked away, the witness told officers. The witness then pointed out Castillo to officers.

When officers confronted Castillo and ordered him to the ground, Castillo allegedly removed a black Glock 22 handgun and threw it on the ground, according to court documents.

Because of a felony conviction in 2016, Castillo is not allowed to possess a firearm.

edit: The thought process of a black criminal:

Lyndell Mays identified himself, Witness 9, and the others involved by circling them in a still shot taken from the surveillance video. Lyndell Mays acknowledged he pulled out his gun first and began firing his gun at the others first. Lyndell Mays was shown a still photo from surveillance video of him pointing a gun at one of the individuals. When asked what that individual was doing, who he was pointing the gun at, Lyndell Mays stated the individual was running away. Lyndell Mays stated he hesitated shooting because he knew there were kids there. Lyndell Mays stated they all could have had guns so he just randomly picked one of the individuals to target because he was in fear of Witness 9’s life. Lyndell Mays confirmed that he drew a gun first, in a crowd of people with kids, picked one of the individuals in the group at random, and started shooting, all because they said, “I’m going to get you” and to him, that meant, “I’m going to kill you.” Lyndell Mays stated the other individuals started shooting only after Lyndell Mays shot first. Lyndell Mays initially stated he didn’t think he shot his gun. When Lyndell Mays was advised he did shoot, he replied that he didn’t hit anything though, but he knew it was still bad. Lyndell Mays then stated he only shot one (1) time. He then said maybe two (2) times. When asked why Lyndell Mays advanced on them to begin with, he replied, “Stupid, man. Just pulled a gun out and started shooting. I shouldn’t have done that. Just being stupid.” When reminded that the person Lyndell Mays was shooting at was running away from him, Lyndell Mays replied, “I know.” Lyndell Mays confirmed he shot first and shot two times. Lyndell Mays acknowledged he shouldn’t have pulled a gun out.

I was actually out there but not super close to where it happened I was almost a quarter mile down the road at another area with friends but heard the shots and it was weird because my group and I were scrambling to get out of there and duck down just in case once we heard screaming and realized it was gunshots for sure but there were retards everywhere with phones like they were going to record what was happening.

our local TV news and radio news has been coping the last couple days basically saying (as of last nights 10pm tv news and earlier today's radio when I dropped my woman off at work) that the identities are being protected because they're juveniles and to protect their family from death threats and stuff. However I call bullshit because if a school shooting happens and the perp survives we still get their identity and information, juvenile or not. granted KC is particularly bad and known for gun violence and the kids out here are retarded and think they live in a GTA game so it doesn't necessarily mean it's the parents fault they ended up horrible people.

But whether the parents/family deserve any blowback or not, the fact of the matter is these kids shot innocent people. fuck them. they easily could have injured and killed more than they did. this is getting memory holed because the whole countries eyes were on Kansas City here and the perps were black.

Quinton Lucas, the mayor of Kansas City, is apparently decrying Missouri Governor Mike Parson's usage of the word 'thugs' when describing the shooters.(Archive)

A woman is dead, and 20+ were injured as a result of these reprobates and this is what he's concerned about? What a fucking joke. Respect to Gov. Parson for calling a spade a spade (literally).

To address the point, though: what the fuck else are we supposed to call them, if not thugs? Something tells me these individuals weren't scholars or future rocket scientists, so we unfortunately have to rule those out. A certain six-letter word definitely comes to mind, but I doubt Mayor Lucas would be appreciative of it... :cunningpepe:

He's an insufferable faggot who spends all of his time trying to be personable and doing absolutely nothing. he thinks he's our local Obama or something saying stupid shit to come across like a normal relatable dude while also trying to seem extra important like he's more than a fuckin' mayor. it pisses me off beyond belief the way they're handling shit. Its not like I was at ground zero of the shooting or traumatized or something but if my buddy wasn't too drunk too early and I didn't make everyone stop to get a fuckin' pizza and dick around it easily could have been me or people I care about who had gotten shot, and most of the injured were fucking children including one who's mom died right in front of them. they're fucking murderers, treat them as such. this wasn't an accident, it's not like a toddler found a loaded gun and blew someone's head off. These are two niggers old enough to know what the fuck guns are and do who opened fire into a crowd of innocent people.

Family of Kansas City shooting suspect set up GoFundMe to help him through ‘tragic time’

The mother of one of the accused Kansas City Super Bowl parade shooters set up a GoFundMe for him, saying he needed help through a “tragic time.”

Teneal Burnside created the online fundraiser for her son Lyndell Mays, 23, showing him lying in a hospital bed recovering from nine bullet wounds from the shootout he allegedly confessed to starting.

“He is in the ICU fighting for a recovery from several surgeries from going to the Chiefs’ Super Bowl celebration with his older sister,” the now-deleted fundraiser said.

It got $100 bucks before they deleted it so at least this retard didnt profit.

Typical.

Of course this information will be suppressed so some cocksucker hoplophobe can bleat about Kansas and Missouri gun laws
Jason Kander, that "I'm a veteran, please blow me" Blue Falcon who lost an election some years ago came out of the woodwork to kvetch about PLCAA. He set his Twitter to Protected Mode not long after getting ratio'd for his retardation. Faggot.

3 KC men face federal firearm charges relating to mass shooting at Chiefs Super Bowl rally

Three Kansas City men face federal charges of illegal gun trafficking and straw purchases of firearms related to the mass shooting at the Chiefs Super Bowl rally, according to the U.S. Attorney’s office in Kansas City.

“These cases underscore the importance of enforcing federal firearms laws,” said Teresa Moore, U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Missouri, in a news release.

“Stopping straw buyers and preventing illegal firearms trafficking is our first line of defense against gun violence,” Moore continued. “At least two of the firearms recovered from the scene of the mass shooting at Union Station were illegally purchased or trafficked.”

The charges do not allege that the men were among the shooters, but rather that they were allegedly involved in illegal straw purchases and trafficking of firearms.

The Feb. 14 shooting that erupted at the celebration at Union Station killed Lisa Lopez-Galvan, a Johnson County mother of two and beloved disc jockey in Kansas City.

Two dozen others were injured by gunfire, including two alleged shooters who face murder charges, and at least 18 others were hurt in the stampede that followed. Roughly half of those wounded by gunfire were under the age of 16.

A dozen people brandished firearms, and at least six people fired their weapons, according to the news release. Kansas City police recovered several guns, spent casings and other evidence.

Two of the firearms recovered after the shooting were cited in the federal criminal complaints that were filed under seal on Monday in the U.S. District Court in Kansas City. The complaints were unsealed and made public Wednesday after the suspects were arrested.

The defendants are 22-year-old Fedo Antonia Manning, 21-year-old Ronnel Dwayne Williams Jr. and 19-year-old Chaelyn Hendrick Groves.

Manning faces a 12-count criminal complaint accusing him of one count each of conspiracy to traffic firearms and engaging in firearm sales without a license, and 10 counts of making a false statement on a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives form.

Williams and Groves, who were charged in the same complaint, both face one count each of conspiracy to make false statements in the acquisition of firearms, aiding and abetting the making of false statements in the acquisition of firearms, and making a false statement to a federal agent.

Firearms found at Union Station mass shooting
Manning allegedly purchased an Anderson Manufacturing AM-15 .223-caliber pistol from Frontier Justice in Lee’s Summit on Aug. 7, 2022, according to court documents.

That pistol was one of the guns found at Union Station following the shooting along a wall with a backpack, next to two AR-15-style rifles and backpacks. The handgun was in “fire” position and there were 26 live rounds in the magazine. The magazine is capable of holding 30 rounds, indicating several rounds may have been fired before it was discarded, according to the news release.

Manning allegedly illegally trafficked dozens of firearms, including many Anderson Manufacturing AM-15 firearms.

The second firearm recovered from the mass shooting was a Stag Arms pistol, which Williams allegedly purchased from The Ammo Box during a gun show at the KCI Expo Center in Kansas City’s Northland on Nov. 25.

William allegedly purchased the firearm for Groves, who attended the gun show with Williams but was too young to buy the weapon himself legally.

Gun purchases linked to other crimes
Manning, who is not a licensed firearms dealer, allegedly bought dozens of firearms, including 15 that were later recovered by police in the possession of others. Several of those individuals were legally prohibited from possessing firearms, according to the news release.

In addition to the pistol found at Union Station, other firearms that Manning purchased have allegedly been found in a stolen vehicle during an investigation of an armed robbery, during an investigation into a murder in Columbia, Missouri, and the armed robbery of a local convenience store.

In a separate federal criminal investigation, Manning allegedly purchased seven firearms that were later sold to a confidential informant, who was known to be a felon and prohibited from possessing firearms. In addition to those seven firearms, federal investigators traced Manning’s purchase of 40 firearms, including 33 Anderson Manufacturing AM-15 firearm receivers, according to the news release.

In the criminal complaint filed against him, Manning is charged with 10 counts of making a false statement on a federal form. He allegedly represented that he was the buyer of the firearms, but the firearms were transferred to others shortly after he purchased them.

In the criminal complaint against Williams and Groves, they allegedly attended the gun show looking to buy receivers. Groves, who is under the age of 21, is too young to legally purchase a firearm receiver. According to court documents, Groves allegedly gave money to Williams to purchase the Stag Arms receiver for him.

Groves allegedly told investigators he purchased a 300-blackout upper to complete the firearm at another show about a month later. He also told investigators that the firearm was stolen during a “shootout.” Instead of reporting it stolen, Groves allegedly went to a gun show with another friend who bought him another one, according to the news release.

Bernard Hansen, the ATF’s Kansas City Field Division special agent in charge, said the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act has given the bureau additional tools needed to go after straw purchasers and firearms traffickers “who flood our streets with weapons that pose a threat to every single person in Kansas City.”

“These arrests serve as a notice to those who think they can illegally traffic guns into our communities or straw purchase firearms,” Hansen said.

The charges are the latest related to the mass shooting that happened as celebrations were coming to an end at the Chiefs Super Bowl rally.

Two men, Lyndell Mays of Raytown and Dominic Miller of Kansas City, have both been charged with one count of second-degree felony murder and unlawful use of a weapon and two counts of armed criminal action.

Prosecutors previously charged two minors with “gun-related” crimes and resisting arrest in relation to the shooting. Their names have not been released.

The Jackson County Prosecutor also has charged 36-year-old Jose L. Castillo with one count of unlawful possession of a firearm after he allegedly picked up a gun that was dropped during the shooting.

This is some flamin' hot horseshit. That guy's felony conviction was for selling weed.

He was trying to do the right thing. He thought it was a cop's gun intended on returning it.

So naturally, the crooks of Jackson County are punishing him for it. Bastards.

Those laws are completely retarded and zero-tolerance. From his attorney work my father knew an ex-felon who was sleeping at a buddy's house and picked up one of his guns when an intruder broke in. Got nailed by the cops for being a felon in possession of a firearm. They're utter bullshit.

Third adult, third teen face charges in mass shooting at Kansas City Chiefs rally

Terry J. Young was charged with second-degree felony murder, unlawful use of a weapon and two counts of armed criminal action in the mass shooting at the Chiefs Super Bowl victory rally on Feb. 14, 2024. Jackson County Detention Center

A 20-year-old Kansas City man is the third adult to be charged with murder in the mass shooting at the end of the Chiefs Super Bowl victory rally last month, prosecutors announced Thursday.

Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced that Terry J. Young was charged with one count each of second-degree felony murder and unlawful use of a weapon, as well as two counts of armed criminal action.

A third teen has also been charged, and may be tried as an adult.

The Office of the Juvenile Officer announced that a 15-year-old was charged in family court late Wednesday with unlawful use of a weapon for shooting at a person and armed criminal action, both felonies.

A hearing has not been scheduled on whether the teen, who was detained at the Juvenile Detention Center, will stand trial as an adult.

At least 25 people, roughly half of them children, were shot outside Union Station. And 43-year-old Lisa Lopez-Galvan, a Johnson County mother of two and a beloved party DJ, was killed.

The shooting stemmed from a dispute between two groups and quickly erupted into gunfire.

Last month, prosecutors charged Lyndell Mays, 23, of Raytown, and Dominic Miller, 18, of Kansas City, with second-degree felony murder and unlawful use of a weapon, as well as two counts of armed criminal action. Both Mays and Miller were injured.

Prosecutors allege that Mays drew and fired first. Gunfire from Miller’s firearm struck and killed Lopez-Galvan, according to court documents.

Under Missouri law, a person who did not pull the trigger can still be charged when someone is killed during the commission of a dangerous felony.

According to court documents, Young was among one of the groups involved in the dispute. Surveillance camera footage allegedly shows Young pulling out a gun and pointing it toward a member of the other group as he advanced toward the person. Young appears to shoot several times with one hand, according to the video. Several bystanders can be seen scattering as Young is shooting. Young then fled.

Detectives were able to identify Young through a distinctive backpack, which appeared to be a bear that is half green and half yellow with other colors.

A search of a cellphone recovered from one of the suspects indicated that a person named “Terry” was involved in a group discussion immediately after the shooting. “Terry” mentioned deleting the group chat and starting a new one.

Searching Young’s social media, detectives found video of him wearing the same backpack. Data from Young’s cellphone showed that it was in the area of the shooting.

Young was arrested Wednesday and was being held on a $1 million bond.

Two other teens, both 16, have also been charged and detained in juvenile detention.

Earlier this week, the Office of the Juvenile Officer amended the charges against one of the teens to a felony count of unlawful use of a weapon for shooting at a person. He also was charged with resisting arrest, also a felony. The family court administrative judge will determine whether that teen should stand trial as an adult too.

The other teen, however, was detained on gun-related charges that do not rise to the level to be tried as an adult.

Baker said that while she has been involved with major investigations during her tenure as prosecutor, this shooting stretches beyond anything she has experienced before in terms of the breadth of the police investigation and the number of persons impacted.

“Everyone we’ve identified who discharged a firearm in response to the verbal altercation detailed here has been taken into custody,” said Baker, noting that police and prosecutors had reached an important point.

All involved shooters are in custody, according to the prosecutors office. With the investigation continuing, there could be additional charges.
