Political Differences Between Millenials and Zoomers - How do the two youngest adult generations compare with one-another, in terms of general political ideology

Gen Z is a cluster fuck. It is the generation born into the wider web after it took off and is split into a multitude of cultures due to it. You can easily find the biggest right-wingers in Gen Z, people who will spout Reagan quotes, go into long history diatribes, etc.. I know because I am friends with quite a few. On the other hand, Gen Z has a ton of Commies. From high school experience, right-wingers were mostly successful nerds (band kids, computer kids, etc.), while the commie fucks were the burn outs who had their own little circle but mostly stayed in their room and never left besides school. The normies of the gen are most likely left-wing, but more sane. I worked a camp job with many ‘normie’ women, and they will all virtue signal Roe v Wade on Instagram, but they hated the off-spring of Millennial fuck parenting. They constantly talked about throwing hand with parents.

Zoomers are the gen where you can find anything really as most are disconnected from each other, but connected to online circles.

I really feel like Millennials should be split into two generations like the boomers were. There’s a big cultural difference between millennials born in the 80’s and those born later.

The first group remembers the world before the internet, for one thing, and were at or near draft age during 9-11 and the Iraq War. The 90’s millennials are a lot more interested in Japanese culture as well, in my experience.

I’d make a hidden generation from 1978 to 1988; we could call it the Oregon Trail generation or the Simpsons generation.
I'm bad at keeping up with all the nicknames, but I've heard some people throw around 'Zillenial' for the latter group you're describing.

Future Generations will be so severely autistic they won't be able to maintain the structure of the world as they will be too busy finding the right sensory input whether it would be an arrangement or a noise. Humans would then be reduced to Sub-Animal level functioning at the same level as someone with Late Stage Dementia. Then they will form a cult albeit a bedridden and low intellectual drone of a culture worshipping Sonichu in their post apocalyptic husk of a world filled with mounds of garbage, mold, rubble and shit.

Xennials I think is what they call it. People born between 1978 and 1985 who had a Gen X childhood and Millennial teen/adulthood.

True. Zoomers are fairly incompetent with tech when it comes to using the Phone/PC to your advantage.
They know all the right buttons to setup a Livestream and make a 4/10 appear as a 10/10 on insta but they don't know shit about the basics, like how to properly search for information from different sources online.
It's more of a "I'm lazy" issue I think, have you seen what some of the top end student housing looks like these days? I remember getting weird looks by the college student neighbors I had when they saw I did maintained everything on my car short of a transmission rebuild while living in an apartment. It's more prevalent with the city kids I think, I know most schools got rid of shop class because it was too dangerous or something retarded.

With regards to those mental health labels zoomers are assigning to themselves proudly on their Tiktok man that is just totally fucking stupid. Wait till your future potential employer sees that shit. You will be unemployable.

Talking so openly about sexuality and labels is a no-no depending on where you live. There are states in the U.S that could potentially criminalize homosexuality once again.

We Millennials are far more likely to have a concept of stigma and its risks. If we're mentally ill it stays between our selves and our therapist and we don't go around with our sexual orientation on our sleeve either. Well most of us anyways. I think we understand the world is not an accepting place and it is far more hostile than full of warm fuzzies. Gen z does not it seems.

Yes, people proposed this the https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xennials

I'm within this bracket. I still remember rotary phones and CRT TV. VHS and Beta tapes. Vinyl and Cassettes. Hand drawn Animation. Carburetors. I watched everything change in real time. I would consider this generation probably generally the one with the best skillset, since they actually had to adapt.

I think it's likely the last most self sufficient generation.

I definitely agree with the notion that Xillennials (The 'Oregon Trail' Generation) are the best with tech.

Not a Xillennial here, I'm a Zillennial (born 1994) and while we're nowhere near as bad as kids born in 2004, our first experiences with technology (early-mid 2000s computers) and the subsequent years (late 2000s, early 2010s tech) were not as idiot oriented as mid-late 2010s tech.

I think Zoomers and Alphas should all be sent to camps where they learn to live without smartphones and computers for a year.

edit: for clarification, by 'Alphas' I mean kids who are considered 'Generation Alpha'. Some people here may not be aware

I had to teach a couple of young cousins how to pirate and torrent, before that none of them knew how to do it.

I encountered a family 5 years ago. The mother was on anti depressants. The children in their teens. None of them identified as their actual genders. One was a munchie. She would get up out of her wheelchair and walk when she was tired of sitting. Their consumption of media was Tumblr and the like. VRChat funny videos, and Fortnite.

They rarely showered. They were completely incapable. I'm guessing this is the near the low end. Things are fucked.

I find the biggest political distinction centers around Harry Potter. Only the very oldest zoomers are likely to have any childhood memories regarding it, and it's unlikely anything as "big" as "wait in line all night to buy the new Harry Potter book" or "Snape killed Dumbledore" spoilers everywhere. JK Rowling is just some feminist writer woman who joined the evil TERFs and now everything about her must be destroyed to zoomers, while millennials view her as dangerous and misguided but still believe Harry Potter has a lot good to say about it.

This is because zoomers are far more collectivist than millennials, which explains their attraction to radical ideologies like communism (and fascism for the rare le based zoomer). Zoomers worship troons because it's the right thing for a society to do, while millennials worship troons as a celebration of an individual's choice, since millennials are incredibly individualistic. Millennials will do cancel culture because it's the right thing personally for them to do since they're virtue signalling activists, while zoomers will do cancel culture because they want to save the troons and destroy evil fascists. This is why that zoomers were so big into Covidianism and mask-wearing, because they genuinely believe they are saving the world from a virus while a millennial cares more about saving themselves and virtue signalling.

A lot of this goes back to zoomer nihilism. Raised under hyperabundance except for maybe their earliest childhood with the recession, the zoomer sees the world as fundamentally meaningless and seeks to establish meaning for themselves and their world by applying the meaning found in political ideologies to society. This is why for instance that zoomers vote way more than any other group of young people since the 60s/70s. Zoomers get their politics from radical sources like Twitter commies and Breadtube (or /pol/ for le based zoomer), while millennials are the last generation really raised by TV news like Jon "Stewart" Leibowitz, Stephen Colbert, or John Oliver i.e. establishment mouthpieces. The establishment only flirts with communism--zoomers actually are communists who the establishment tries to co-opt.

This applies to right-wing zoomers, who are rarer than right-wingers of any other generation. They additionally have the problem of needing to separate themselves from their peers so will go full fascist, neo-Nazi, trad-monarchist etc. Since fatherlessness is also a greater problem among zoomers than even millennials and zoomers both male and female are not interested in relationships, they need based e-daddies and seek out based content like Nick Fuentes and Andrew Tate.

Totally raised online by over-tolerant parents, neither side has any connection to actual reality, yet has managed to impose their reality on the world through corporations pandering to them.

I've always thought of Harry Potter as being a shared cultural thing among both millennials and zoomers. With Millennials being the perfect age to start reading the Harry Potter books, while Zoomers were watching the movies around the time they started coming out. Meaning both generations pretty much experienced Harry Potter around their pre-teen/teen years. Albeit, via different mediums
Though, I do have to agree with you on the individualism/collectivism of Millennials/Zoomers point. While Millennials have politics just as retarded as zoomers, they've always felt more genuine to me. While whenever zoomers expressed their political views, whether on the left or the right, it always felt like they were moreso trying to fit in with a group than genuinely believing in the things they said 100%

Millenials grew up during the 90's when you were still allowed to watch a liberal on TV make fun of everyone. Political polarization I think probably began around 9/11. Some older liberal Millenials have snapped out of it and lost trust in establishment media. Because everythings become too controlled now, too propaganized. I'd say the internet was a huge factor too. You could get alternate viewpoints instantly without having to learn something like Turkish and get a satellite hookup to see what someone with a different perspective and evidence had to say.
