SCREW the below - I love the new front page! 5 of my top 6 are WINNER (suck it, plebes). My dopamine overfloweth.

I'm kidding. I like the notifs as an option, and seeing scores. Ignorable rationales spoilered below.
Most people didn't. Me included. Because it is a hassle to dig into settings and find it.
Nah. Figuring out a (any) site's features is part of using it, and it's usually a one- or two-time effort. And most people online more than a day know that most sites have some features (whether it's notifications or something else) or that nearly any interface (forum, app, program, whatever) has settings that you likely want to be familiar with.

Contrast having info brought to your attention (IF you want it and that you can check out or ignore) vs a couple clicks each time you think of going to find it [if you like multiple clicks, that's always been available].

Notifications of reactions and responses together in one spot at one click was highly convenient. And I'd let them pile up if not in the mood for criticism - easy enough to ignore. I can't defend people who actually had any level of real "feelings" about reactions beyond the occasional snit or sulk, but like others have said, I liked the convenience of a reminder.

And as others have also said, I sometimes used the ratio of posts to points to decide whether to bother to post a reply. Occasionally I'm in the mood to fuss after a supremely dumb post by someone I don't recognize, but I'd sometimes check their profile first - if they had some kind of terrible ratio or 6 posts and a -453 net, I'd know not to bother rather than get baited in to wasting my time.

I also find that the most/watched list now at the top of the main page moves/changes so fast I miss threads I have been very active in (but that might not have volume engagement) and instead see a snippet of mostcrecently posted-in active threads I might not have much interest in/only posted in 6 months ago.

I know there are other ways to find info. If I think of it/remember/care enough, I will. I'm familiar with and have clicked into "reactions received." But I just think it's unfortunate to lose a user-friendly feature that tbh was also a convenient reminder of where I've been.

Tl; dr: you people going apeshit and having zero self-regulation 100% of the time and unable ever to refrain from goofball mischief and retaliation and worse suck rocks. Notifications were useful, and shorthand quality checks were at a minimum fun/funny and at a maximum useful data. Thanks, spergs!

It's called morals. Telling someone to kill themselves every day will break a man. That's just basic physics of emotions.
Dude. I just searched "kill yourself" on your comments and stopped counting on the 2nd page at 15 that were mad-posts directed at someone (and not including the Monty Python one, and also I didn't actually open any that didn't show context in the preview).

The new sticker reminds me of something in MS Teams where the emoji person is hugging a cookie.

I really don't care if we have stickers or not. I was using forums long before this autism took place, and we never needed stickers and updoots to keep track of threads (serious cope using that lameass excuse guys) or interact with each other. Grow the fuck up.
