Should sticker notifications be brought back?

It's pretty hard to take any of you seriously with the amount of hyperbolic herd sperging without any rational thoughts about what's happening. Everyone completely lost the fucking plot at this point, people keep screaming but they forgot why they're screaming.
To paraphrase Harlan Ellison, "I have no sticker notifications and I must sperg"

At this point it doesn't matter why, Null thinks we're screaming because we're Twitter-brained twisted morons, and the others in this thread think it's about reddit style karma. Or they think 2 clicks are better than 1 for things they don't do anyway.

But I'll be specific why I'm pissy. Two reasons:

1) This is one of the last websites on the Internet I actively enjoy, and it's just been made less convenient, less usable, and a bit less fun.

I don't give a damn about reaction scores or karma or whatever. (When people were showing the randomized totals, I didn't know where that was because I've never looked.) I care about discovering new things, finding discussions to join or re-join, and the occasional Happening archive. Nothing about The Null-Approved Method Of Navigating Forums makes any of that easier than TNAMONF+Notifications.

I am mad at the Internet because the Internet (as I use it) just got a little worse, and in Current Year I am tired of everything getting worse.

2) This is bad product development.

A working feature, with long-established usage patterns, was removed without getting any benefit at all. The substitutes are scattered, less efficient, and clunky. This is objectively a UX downgrade, there is literally no way you can argue software that requires more steps to reach the same outcome is better.

The alleged benefits are "people will stop using forums wrong", based on input from people who were using DMs wrong. The known problem, a handful of autist sticker lovers, will still be problems because the Reactions page is still up. This means further retarded moves are likely when he gets angry at the right people again in the future.

Purely from an observational POV, bad product development is annoying. It's the same as watching a lolcow make unforced errors that harm the people around them: you get annoyed, sad, or MATI by proxy. Others on the thread have expressed the feeling in different wording, but it boils down to the same source. Nobody enjoys wasted potential.

Null swatted a fly with a sledgehammer, but the fly survived and some toes got crushed instead. We're allowed to bitch about the toes, even if yours escaped unscathed.

I enjoyed when I could put YouTube embeds in chat, then got upset when that was no longer possible and adapted to the change. The core issue is right here, people don't want change and refuse to adapt.

This "certain way" can be easily replaced with other existing forum functionality and it's not hard to do. But if the bitching persists then it'll be obvious that people primarily used them for dat dopamine.

But right now no one wants to say why they used those notifications and no one wants to discuss it, people just want to be mad and insult everyone.
Okay, I used it to keep a tab on threads and gauge their activity, and to quickly go to them with one click instead of digging into other tabs to do that, especially when I'm at work and using the site on mobile. What exactly is wrong with that? Is it such a crime that I was using a feature in a way Josh didn't intend? Is it so terrible I wasn't using a different feature to get the same result?

Did you miss the part where I said no one will be leaving over this? The less engagement won't be from people leaving, and I don't think it will have a huge impact on the site, I just foresee less engagement overall due to ADHD speds forgetting about threads and posting less.
Sorry, I didn't really read your post. I just rated it based on my gut feeling. Forgive me for assuming that less engagement would automatically translate to user attrition.

in a thread full of whining and autstic sperging, @WelperHelper99 still manages to shine like a retarded lighthouse in the dead of night
Anime avatars, not even once.

No, I removed it specifically because I've realized that not only have many, many users apparently trained their brains to use a forum specific way that is counter-intuitive to how forums are supposed to work, but you're also making posting decisions based on that feedback.

This started because I received feedback from multiple users that they prefer to post in fucking retarded DM chains specifically because they don't want negative feedback on their posts. They have been discouraged from using this webforum as a forum because they do not feel safe to post as a result of these incessant notifications and looming persistent scorecard ratings. That is FUCKING STUPID. That means the site is broken and is fundamentally failing to encourage people to use it. It means that the reaction system, which exists to provide feedback on individual posts, is having a chilling effect on the entire site.

I am not undoing this. I am observing genuine psychological damage inflicted on people.
I guess I did see him post about it as well, @Jewthulhu

If degenerate retards are getting spooked by getting negrated on the farms they should fuck off back to reddit, not hide in hugbox DMs. Seems to me like stickers are handy if they discourage people from sperging out or talking about their shitfucking fetishes on the farms. You can call it hive-minding if you'd like, but I think a little communal bullying policing is a good thing, especially if the community is all about laughing at degenerates and retards. It prevents the locusts from making a smooth migration to our pastures and eating our fucking crops.

Reaction stickers have become an essential component of modern communication, revolutionizing the way we express emotions and reactions on KiwiFarms. These stickers transcend language barriers and cultural differences, allowing individuals to convey complex feelings in a quick and straightforward manner. By providing a wide range of emotions such as love, laughter, anger, and sadness, reaction stickers enhance the emotional depth of digital interactions and promote empathy and understanding. Furthermore, they have become a significant tool for retards, trannies, and individuals to engage with their peers on KiwiFarms and convey messages effectively. In today's fast-paced and digitized society, reaction stickers have fundamentally altered the way we connect, communicate, and share our emotions with others, making them an indispensable part of our daily lives.
