I'll bet I get laid more often than this entire gang of "polyamorists" does. Then again, that's not hard to do when don't spend most of your time thinking up new ways to portray yourself as a victim and a unquestioned, universal moral arbiter.

I liked it when the Mexican guy showed up and said "lol guys its okay, its just a bit of fun, go ahead" and Zayn just said "well I know about oppression of Mexicans, Mexican person, so it doesnt matter what you say about your culture, I'm still going to lecture you about what should offend you."
 
THe best way to have a mexican themed party is to not give a shit, loosen up, dance to cumbia until 4 am and realize that caring about culture appropriation doesn't really make you the fun guy at parties.
so dress up as an aztec, bring a shit load of tequila and have fun.
 
The biggest surprise as I see it is that anyone would invite any of these joyless, pedantic, self-righteous assholes anywhere in the first place, with the possible exception of a poetry reading and granola buffet at the local feminist bookstore or anarchist cafe. If I knew a pain in the ass like this I don't think I'd ever stop throwing 'problematic' parties (or book club meetings, or baby showers, or funerals). It sounds like a really good way to ensure that all my most whiny and annoying acquaintances would stay at home, leaving the rest of us to actually enjoy ourselves.
 
Maybe, just maybe, if you don't have the spoons for a poly relationship you shouldn't be in a poly relationship

I run a facebook page with around the same number this group has. I think I've blocked maybe 3 people from the page in the two years I've ran it, and it was for being complete shitheads. Then again I have better things to do than scan it 24/7 for things that may or may not theoretically offend someone somewhere in some plane of existance.

That's strange, I distinctly remember Kylie and company repeatedly replying to comments by linking people to giant textwalls full of deliberately abstruse SJW jargon, presumably so that they could read them. Oh, and wasn't there something about having to read three or four equally vast posts about the importance of checking your privilege in the shower, then post to say that yes you had indeed read every last arsing word, before you could even join? Gosh, Kylie, you ableist. Check your literate privilege

Being "offended" only has a limited amount of power in this world. You can coast on it for a little while, but there's a certain point where people just don't care if you're offended or not. We saw this in the mid 90s with the "political correctness" movement, and we're seeing it again with the SJWs. I think we're already in the process of seeing the general public reject extreme "Social Justice" in favor of stuff that actually works.
