A lot of it is fear of missing out being coupled with the wildly incorrect idea that it will 'click' and suddenly they'll enter a golden era of constant excellent sex. If they just keep holding out a little bit longer they might just find the person for them!

Except they're not going to, if you're growing envious of your partner because they're deep in the bone zone while you're not that's for a very good reason. Your 'partner' is fucking around and you're left holding the bag. You're unlikely to ever successfully bust out of that situation.

And it's not even close to being over. A lot of these people seem really addicted to the attention they get from new coming outs. Once people are used to her being kinky, she comes out as polyamorous. When being bisexual barely garners any attention or oppression points these days, it's time to come out as genderqueer too.
