S-she's going to notice me?

What's with everyone being in these committed "I'd kill myself without you" relationships after only two months?

It think it stems from painfully low self esteem combined with codependency.

Honestly, I disagree with Pleb that it's usually the woman initiating. I think it's more of an even ratio.

It could all depend on which side of the relationship you're exposed to more. I had a coworker that was into the swinging lifestyle and while he seemed to set up more meets with other couples his wife is the more aggressive of the pair when the meetup happened.

That's true. There's different ways poly people can be fucked up, which also accounts for this. Middle aged couple where the wife doesn't put out anymore cause the husband is fat and sucks in bed is different than 20 somethings where the girl is probably BPD and emotionally manipulating her bf. And so on.

No matter how we slice this it's all one big dysfunctional, unhealthy, messy, ball of emotional disaster.

My very favorite version of these people is the guy who needles and nags his wife into it, because he thinks he will be drowning in some specific pussy. Then, by the time he realizes that he didn't actually have a "connection" with that woman at work, his wife has banged 3 dudes, all of whom orbit constantly, and idiot husband posts his extreme anger and hurt in r/relationships, only to have 3000 strangers accurately tell him he's a fool who brought it upon himself. Happens once or twice a year.
