Why do the mentally ill seem to attract similarly fucked up partners?
Sonic sez, "TOKI YO TOMARE - ZA WARUDO!"Maybe autism is a magnetic quality, like having a Stand?
I’ve seen a trio arrangement last 5 years and that’s the absolute most. A polycule is inherently unstable due to the shifting dynamics and too many cooks stirring the pot and that’s no environment for secure attachments to form. At least with swinging or an open marriage where its a couple that just sleeps around sometimes no strings attached you can keep it away from the kids and you can just tell them the people you swing with are just friends and the rest stays in the bedroom. But in a polycule structure there are multiple figures in the kids life and they’ll attach to them and get more emotionally involved.
This is the main reason why so many people find it repugnant: To do it, you must value sex more than parenting your child.I question the ethics of any married couple who’d restructure the family unit in order to accommodate their sexual appetite for extramarital sexual partners; the thought of inviting mommy’s boyfriend(s) and/or daddy’s girlfriend(s) to live with them is morally repugnant to me. Even introducing them as “family friends” seems wrong. Children are a lot more perceptive than we give them credit for.
it means ‘this is the person I live with and dump the kids on while I go have fun’.What's a nesting partner
Over the years I've heard stories from multiple girls raised by single moms about being molested/raped by mom's boyfriend, so I completely believe this.it means ‘this is the person I live with and dump the kids on while I go have fun’.
A child is most at risk of sexual abuse from their mother’s male partners who are not their biological father.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure humans have evolved passed their primal instincts, and anyone who tries to use them as an excuse is just a shitty person.yep this is true
it comes down to primal instinct. you raising another man's kids means your own genes are getting cucked out of existence, so the immediate response is to kill those other kids and replace them with your own. this happens in other mammals too, male lions for example do this: when they take a female from another male (by killing or driving off the other male) they first kill any existing cubs the female has.
a spiecies can't ever "evolve past primal instincts" my dudeYeah, I'm pretty sure humans have evolved passed their primal instincts, and anyone who tries to use them as an excuse is just a shitty person.
I mean, it's not like humans also have complex thoughts and emotions that explain their behavior, but okay.a spiecies can't ever "evolve past primal instincts" my dude
this shit applies on such a fundamental level, it'd take millions of years of selection pressure to eliminate from the gene pool
no amount of complex thought can negate a basic instinct like jealousy that is hard-wired into peoples brainsI mean, it's not like humans also have complex thoughts and emotions that explain their behavior, but okay.
There is a tendency is separate mind and body, human and animal, but that's just not consistent with reality. You can't out-think hunger any more than you can make yourself consciously aware of things that are happening on a subconscious level. Things like scent a huge (thus the danger of marrying a man you met while on birth control) in how we feel about other humans, but it's not like we're walking around sniffing the armpits of everyone we meet, nor are we even aware half the time that we're even smelling anything at all.I mean, it's not like humans also have complex thoughts and emotions that explain their behavior, but okay.
I get what you mean, but I still think humans should be held to a higher standard. It's natural to be jealous, but it shouldn't lead you to abusing your spouse's children just because they're not yours. Anyone who does that shouldn't be breeding in the first place.no amount of complex thought can negate a basic instinct like jealousy that is hard-wired into peoples brains
im not trying to justify or excuse abuse here, but provide an explanation why step-fathers are so much more likely to become abusive towards their step-kids than other men in their lives are
Literally 100 percent of your thoughts and emotions are emergent results of your instincts processing your surroundings.I mean, it's not like humans also have complex thoughts and emotions that explain their behavior, but okay.
