I agree. It seems rather inoffensive (unless diabetes-inducing sugary romance comics offends you in which case, understandable). It does read like a shonen-ai comic but instead of a love triangle (quadrangle?) everyone's just cool with each other. It's more wholesome than 99% of real life poly relationships. There are worse things. Like that cuck comic from Oh Joy Sex Toy.

In real world stuff, an acquaintance of mine has been basically cheating on her boyfriend (nothing sexual, but making out, intimate cuddling and flirting outside your relationship still counts imo). But she excuses it with the sentiment of "I'm poly, it's who I am". No bitch, your boyfriend is clearly upset and all you can tell him is "you don't like it, break up with me." Which is hypocritical since she has mentioned wanting to break up with him over small things SEVERAL times in the 3+ years they've been together. I used to see the friend of ours she cheated with as a kind, helpful dude. But now that I see he's willing to stab his friend in the back I can't see him as anything but an asshole. This is NOT poly. Say what you will about it (aka this whole thread), but poly is still supposed to be consensual like every other relationship. It already has a bad rap, and people like this are showing why. The fact that no one else in our immediate friend group (besides her boyfriend) seems to see anything wrong with this is driving me crazy. I'm kind of deeply concerned about the people in my friend circle tbh, especially considering the last friend's relationship I mentioned here.

Honestly, the poly people I've known IRL are all straight, and one is asexual. The straight one literally claims he's a "whore". Despite never getting laid and watching thirst traps on tiktok all day. But maybe it's because he's a guy, so=automatically coomer.

It's kind of annoying that outside this thread there's nowhere that's really "anti-poly". There are posts on r/relationship advice or whatnot where someone vents about their poly partner, but those usually always end in "that's not real poly". But then I realized that to the vast majority of normies, poly just isn't a thing. It's just infidelity/cheating. So it'd be couched in those terms and not anti poly or anything. Plus a group that was outwardly "polyphobic" would probably get banned for being bigoted in this day and age.

i mean, i cant speak for anyone other than myself in this thread, but im not really 'anti-poly'

in the 2 cases where they actually make it work i shrug and wish 'em luck. i just love to read the horror stories. where else can you read about a man who cucks himself in the pursuit of more puss? this thread has the dubious honor of making me laugh harder than most threads on this site, and also feel extremely sad for some of these people
