Hmm, you mean like this? [archive]
Or this post she shared, with quotes by everyone's favorite banana Frank Wu?
Or this post titled How to Uphold White Supremacy by Focusing on Diversity and Inclusion [archive]
And this post on Facebook [archive] talking about how it encourages white supremecy?

Looks like you were right on the money dude. She's a weirdo code warrior obsessed with oppression and labels named Kyra and is based out of Massachusetts. The only thing that surprises me is she's not following Brianna Wu. Unfortunately that forum is locked down but let's see what I can do about searching that...

Well, I thought Kxra was a man. Oh well.

By the way, I was talking about this Model Minority, a forum that refers to Asian women who date non-Asian men as "sellout whores" and gave us such gems such as "As many of you know, the jew owns hollywood and fills us 24/7 with the idea that AFs [chink-loveshy to English: Asian women] belong to YT. We need to take over hollywood and put a final solution in place to deal with the way we have been treated by this bloodthirsty parasite known as the jew."

Still, the stuff you digged up was juicy.

I mean, she's a transsexual transhuminist cyborg so I guess you could say man? I'm unable to register for that forum at the office so that's why you haven't seen what will most likely be posts there until later <3

I love racist asian loveshies. They are so deliciously salty.

Oh my god I've met this person.
I went to school with a girl from Northampton who was about as casual of a SJW as you can be, but she would always tell us about this "friend" she had back home who was "crazy into that kind of thing." When we all visited this friend of ours last summer, this person was there, horrendous facial piercings and all. They weren't as bad as you would have thought, and the subject of, well, anything SJW/tumblr related never came up. But... Whew. Had I known...

How do normal people even end up in this group?
I suspect you can't actually see anything until you join, but once you see it, why wouldn't you nope right the fuck out?

The growing thread consensus is that people add themselves to the group then probably never look at it again. It's really the only thing that makes sense because in any group of 18,000 there would be people mocking this shit openly if they were paying attention. Smutley said that there are only a couple hundred people who post anything, and that's a much more reasonable size for a tumblr circlejerk.

You've been looking at the group a lot- what would you say the percentage of threads actually about the topic is?

Using some advanced scientific techniques involving coffee and a post-it note I now have an answer for you.

Posts were examined through the past two weeks in September. One thing of note is, if a post didn't explicitly discuss a poly lifestyle, or was related to personal poly situations, I considered it off topic. This includes: wishcasting in fiction, demanding new users publicly accept the groups TOS, random "mental illness" or monogamous relationship help, public shaming of now-banned users, and Kylie, Dani and Zayn using it as their personal blog for whatever has upset them.

Total: 100
On Topic: 44
Off Topic: 56

Some posts (like the Harry Potter one below) TECHNICALLY could be on topic. If we want to consider them on topic, then it's still 50/50.

Are you kidding me? It doesn't matter if you were in the middle of typing a reply, there weren't any replies on Greg's post when he deleted it. Sorry you weren't fast enough. How are you going to reprimand him for something he couldn't have known was happening (and more than that, for something that didn't happen)? I just... this whole group is like some fucked-up squad of Thought Police.

What on earth could possibly be wrong with "non-violent communication"?
NVC is not a technique recommended by psychologists. It mostly boils down to the old aphorism of the plural of "anecdote" is not "data". NVC lacks any evidence beyond anecdotes of its supposed efficacy; a meta-study on NVC the only two known studies about NVC that actually used proper psychological research techniques yielded no positive results (and the CNVC, the governing body of NVC sure as hell wants it to stay that way).

But beyond that, there's practical and theoretical problems:
  • The notion of unbiased observations espoused by NVC is bullshit because humans are inherently full of biases and events and conversations can have multiple interpretations;
  • People (or at least the target audience for NVC) rarely understand their own feelings and behaviours and their expression of them is unreliable. People not understanding their own behavior is an implied axiom in legit psychotherapeutic approaches like CBT or ABA.
  • NVC conversations are to actual social interactions what filling two water balloons and shoving your dick between them is to a real titwank.
  • Related to point #2, people may instead deliberately hide their own feelings, subverting the point of the whole process.
  • It can actually be used as a tool for emotional abuse. Passive-aggressiveness is incredibly easy to do when you're speaking like Sigmund Freud if he joined the cast of Dora the Explorer. It's also a fantastic tool to keep victims from abuse from calling their abusers abusive. Because, hey, calling the other speaker a passive-aggressive jackass &/or abuser is a judgment, that's violent language, and now you're the violent one and therefore the abuser.
Overall, NVC is a nice little idea, but since it didn't begin with "humans are little shits that have a surprising ability to lie to themselves and tend to be assholes" as a theoretical basis, it's undermined by human nature.

This is my favorite thread on the Farmz right now and @Smutley deserves all the unicorns.

The thing with the jobless boyfriend is funny as fuck on so many levels. I mean obviously the dude is a sponge but then SHE doesn't have a job either-- so the issue is that the boyfriend is sponging off of what she sponges off of her Dad! And she admits openly that neither of them has EVER had a REAL JOB. And she's in fucking grad school, so she has to be at least in her mid-twenties or something! It's like a tumblr sitcom.

I have heard a lot of theories about what might end capitalism, but I never thought it would be"Everyone under forty declares themselves too emotionally disabled to work"
