I wanted to post the comments for the Unemployed Boyfriend thread since it's been very active. However, these comments are huge dumps of tl;dr by all the random weirdos who want to talk about how they are too sad to work too. I've broken this out into parts, and left out a lot of the excessively long shit... but not all of it. You can't get rid of all of it, it's impossible to untangle it from the rest of the insanity.

When I was working overnight shift at a convenience store, one of my co-workers would do a shift at the store with me and then go home to get her kid ready for school, do another full 8-hour shift cleaning motels, pick her kid up, cook him dinner, put him to bed, sleep 3-4 hours and then wake up to come to work at the store overnight.

What a deeply, profoundly PRIVILEGED neurotypical allistic ciswoman she was.

This might actually be the dumbest group on facebook. It's just so... stupid. Like I'm honestly at a loss for words and can't think of a better way to describe it. It's a complete mindfuck. I fucking lost it at "please describe your emoticons in case there are blind people" like I read that a couple of days ago or whenever and I still can't get over it.

@Sczylak Madgar thanks for the info! I had never heard of NVC and had a different idea, guess I have to do some research.

One of the thing i hate most when it comes to these socjustypes is their repeated insistance on enabling the worst behaviours when it comes to mental illness.

Lashing out at people? It's just a coping mechanism!
Don't want to maintain basic hygiene? It's OK, you're still valuable and beautiful! Don't want to work? You're a precious and delicate flower, clearly it's better for you to practice self-care by staying at home on Netflix all day!
Want your boyfriend to stop mooching off and get his arse back to work? You ableist scum, you should be coddling him instead!

It's incredibly infantilising and does pretty much nix to help disabled people, it only makes the snowflakes feel better.

By the way, is it just me or does Zayn Zaki' smug smiling avatar makes everything she says look even more condescending? Talk about a punchable face.
 
Doesn't actual research say the best way to deal with things that trigger you is to face them, repeatedly, until you're desensitized? Also, SSRIs can cause feelings of demotivation, but the best treatment for that is to do stuff you know you need to do, even if you don't feel like it. It's an easily correctable issue. Call me ablelist or whatever, but it's true.

This is why these people shun anyone in the field of psychology just as fervently as a Scientologist would. Because the facts of dealing with their debatable illnesses is the opposite of what they desire.

These people don't want to better themselves. They don't want to work for anything or be challenged. They want everything handed to them on a silver platter without any negative judgment thrown their way. They want an excuse, and claiming a mental disability gives them one. Then they cushion themselves by screaming "ABLEIST!" at anyone who dares to question their motives which can effectively silence any opposition given enough white knights.

That's the real danger of SJWs. When you create an environment where any disagreeing opinion is immediately shut down as hate speech (no matter how reasonable or grounded in reality) opportunists will pounce on said environment in droves. It's why a well known pedophile can gain allies just by claiming to be trans. It's why someone who is clearly leeching off the welfare system can get a free pass simply because they claim Depression is "too difficult" to actually treat. It's why people take up false labels in an attempt to be the specialist of special snowflakes just so they can achieve the coveted position of "most oppressed" so their vitriol - no matter how ugly - will be lauded as the one voice everyone has to listen to.

It's become a race to the bottom of the social ladder, but once they're there the SJW in question gains eternal immunity from criticism.

Anyway, I was wondering if Kylie was glomping on to poly in hopes of getting a harem to take care of him instead of relying on nurses or home-care workers. Those cost time and money, as well as not having the sexy times perk.
