Polygon: "Why Gone Home is the Most Important Game of the Decade" - Polygon does it again

Really goes to show how real that oft-postulated bubble actually is.
Gone Home is being boosted because Zoe is under attack and the public opinion of her is tangibly turning.
So she calls her cuccboi pals in the games 'journalism' sector and lays it on thick. 48 hours later, we get this brave and stunning bit of writing from the usual suspects. Go figure.

This has the least internet presence of any game I've ever looked up. There's only 7 pages of gamefaqs on it, and the somethingawful thread's only 46 pages long back in 2013 when people still used that site (compare that with like 1601 pages for super smash bros.) I strongly suspect the target audience for the game is/was entirely lesbians who are also game reviewers.

Here's why, because someone died for it.

Zoe Quinn isn't even remotely related to Gone Home - what are you dorks talking about?

There's nothing wrong with The Fullbright Company itself - it's just some hipsters shitting out mediocre indie "narrative experiences". Both Gone Home and Tacoma are harmless and inoffensive walking simulators. The only issue here is that game journos are propping their games as some revolutionary mindblowing revelations that changed the world of gaming forever. Which they aren't. They barely qualify as good stories. Industry awards are cancer in every industry, but gaming media is far more degenerate and incestuous than even Hollywood, so shit like Gone Home gets a ton of free marketing, and real diamonds don't.

What did she do recently(outside of making Alec suicide) to turn more people against her?

Is she the one behind all the broken McDonalds Icecream machines?

If it was important, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have heard about it for the first time on KF, of all places.

Besides, everyone knows it's Fortnite. No other game has congregated such a large number of squeakers, draining them away from other multiplayer games. They're doing the rest of us a favour, Tencent influence be damned.

Important game of the decade? Yeaaah..nooo...That game was in one ear and out the other, frankly the only reason people recalled that game was of the M.Shamaladingdong twist of "DIS GIRL WAS A LESBUN ALL LONG!!! DUN DUUN!!! DUUN!!!!!" and once that shit died out everyone forgot about that game.

Wait, when the guy left the server, didn't she later crawl out and screech how she was still the victim and wasn't responsible for his death.
