Poojeet/AI SEO spam and slop blogs - It probably happened to you, you had a passing interest in something, looked it up and boom you literally can't find any good info because all the search results are riddled with crap made by a poojeet, AI or a mixture of both.

Too late.
I recall this AI-generated 80s-style animu coloring book for sale, on Amazon. One review said that not only was it AI-generated, but some of those lines made coloring hard.

You find a 45 minute lecture about it on Youtube.
Trying to decipher a thick accent in a tl;dw video tutorial is even worse than a tl;dw video tutorial when just text would be enough.

It can be infuriating when one searches for something that can be briefly explained in text, but it seems the only results that show up are TL;DW YouTube videos. Do we really need a 10 minute rambling YouTube video explaining how to turn off JavaScript?

A dead internet filled with bots might end up being a net-good for humanity. Social media addiction might start to lessen if everyone starts to suspect they're just talking to a chatbot. Hell, they might even start going outside to get validation and attention because there's no point in being the #bestdogmommy unless people are fawning over you.

I'm sure it's a help for filtering out a lot of ai images
That's a legitimate use. For the past several months, every single time I try to search for something on google images, there will be a hoard of slopjeet character.ai images of garbage that I wasn't looking for. The pervasiveness of this shit is the dead internet.

These sites are especially obvious when they cover Windows or Linux.
Saar please run sfc /scannow to fix your Google Chrome issue.

I've started reading my results better within the last few years due to the SEO spam. Anything that mentions "Top 10", "Review 202x", "Best product", etc gets ignored. If I click a link and see an Amazon link I immediately click off. If I'm looking for product reviews I try to include "forum" in the search. It's always nice when I find an old blog for product reviews, people that genuinely care about what they reviewed. Though those are very hard to find anymore.

Youtube recommended me this video today:
It's made by a tranny, but that's not the point. The point is that he was looking for specifications of a certain 3d model format and realized that 90% of first page of search results is filled with AI crap. They typically start out as articles covering the basics of the format, only to segue into "use our software to open this file". And yeah, that's not something fundamentally new, since SEO fags used to employ copywriters to write this shit, but AI allows to do it faster, on a larger scale and with worse results.

It’s like this for nearly everything nowadays on the internet, the only way to avoid it is to put before:2022 into the search box. AI has completely decimated the concept of actually browsing the internet and I hate it.

HUGE (only about 1600 entries) blocklist. Read through the list, the issues I've found:
  • Mostly revolves around websites hosting AI imagery, not SEO blog trash
  • SEO spam gets a fraction of the list (one small group, ~20 in total)
  • There are separate categories for individual works of art blocked by the repo owner
  • Some weird /r/FuckLuigiMangione subreddit mod is on the list for some reason?
  • Shadiversity's YT channel link is also present, presumably because of the owner's seethe about his takes on AI art
Untrustworthy, even if it was a relevant list.
