Europe's air traffic control network has warned commercial aircraft to avoid Syrian airspace due to a possible strike being planned in the next 72 hours.

DEFCON has been lowered to 4 over reports of military amassing air forces and the potential risks of a Russia vs. U.S. conflict.

Supposedly the British RAF is on alert in Cyprus.

There's also unconfirmed reports of the U.S. moving missile cruisers around in the Mediterranean and aircraft in Eastern Iraq.

New York and LA are not likely targets at all. Washington DC is tho.

Just my 0.02, but I really doubt Russia will go nuclear to save Bashar Assad. At this point, the guy is more of a headache than an asset. Why Putin hasn't just had him replaced with a military dictator ages ago is beyond me.

It's missing a few likely ones, Coronado Island (ie San Diego and Camp Pendleton, WESTPAC is fucked if that happens) and Tampa (JSOC HQ) are surely getting fucked up in that event. As are Forts Benning, Carson (as well as the Air Force Academy since it's across the street) and maybe Huachuca and Bliss if they want to cripple DIA assets. Plus Norfolk and Pearl would be likely targets as well because our Navy has their's severely outmatched and they'd need to be able to stop us from reinforcing in that kind of fight.


Obviously Guam, Fairbanks, Diego Garcia and Okinawa would probably get hit too
