I suppose there's something darkly comical about how he talks to the girl as he finishes her off, but I don't really find it amusing. It's deeply satisfying though, in a way.

They absolutely brought it on themselves, and while the audio is compelling I wish he hadn't recorded it. If so he might not be stuck in prison for the rest of his life(:_(

He fucked up because he talked to the police openly instead of remaining silent and talking to a good lawyer. He really thought the cops were going to agree with him that it was self defense. A decent lawyer probably would’ve gotten him off with a suspended sentence.

I've always wondered what it was with cartels and Brazilians killing women as frequently as they do.

Pure savagery and terror. The hallmark of the low I.Q., decreased empathy, and exerting a vulgar display of power. Nothing more, nothing less.

They can't help themselves--half devil, half child. I was actually very surprised that Rockstar's Max Payne 3 pulled no punches about Brazil, calling it a 'shithole' multiple times and even showing necklacing in a cut scene.

There's an old joke about a cheating wife, the jilted husband who murdered her, and an unlucky lover hiding in a refrigerator (the murder weapon) arriving at the pearly gates to tell their woeful tale to St. Peter.

Maybe this was playing out IRL here and the recording just cut out before the angry husband could get the fridge to the balcony.
