Good to know. I'm no expert at this art stuff. The upgrade from mouse-and-keyboard to drawing tablet has not been accompanied by any studying up on art theory or tutorials.Art is good but you should working on your coloring. It's just bit too even and lacking in contrast and don't guide the eye very well. I would consider stronger shadows on the ground and you might want try using more "colorful" shadows in dark blues and purples.
I'm now realizing that the mouse-and-keyboard method often resulted in fatigue during the coloring stage, as that was one of the final stages in the workflow and kind of just give up at that point. But it feels like the tablet will enable me to work faster and more efficiently so I can put more effort into the coloring without exhausting myself.
Good point about contrasts. The line illustration often feels like a very convenient crutch to lean on. The people who regularly paint without any line work probably learn real fast about color theory and contrasts.
