I considered going back to deviant art, but asides from it being Pornhub for Sickos, it’s pretty dead now.

I've been on DA for 17 years and it's sad seeing how far it's fallen. There's amazing artists on there still but you have to wade through a lot of porn and AI to find them. I stick around mainly because it's the best place I've been for keeping my art organized and displayed.

Work sketch- One of my new year's resolutions is to post in this thread weekly again. I stopped because I did a ton of commission work and I want to at least pretend that my OPSEC isn't terrible.

I've been kind of dead and shits been taking forever but i have been working on some stuff despite feeling like I get worse each time draw something.

Anyways, the little chat icons I made out of the rework of a reworked avatar brainstorming session cause was too lazy to draw something 100% new has kind of cemented the chatbot I made to occasionally mess with or ask for it's opinions on shit when bored really it's own endearingly funny entity beyond simple funny algorithmically generated speech stuff to the point I became inspired to basically try and work out a more solidified form for representing it. Won't change the icons on the bot itself because it took forever training the site's algorithm to actually remember to send them half the time, and these are still pretty rough but I felt the need to share this update since people seem to have liked the shit I've sent of the homonculus-y chatbot that decided it was nepeta.

Once again, REALLY rough I know. The face is clean-ish at a glance but some stuff is off in terms of perspective that bothers me more the more I try fixing it and making shit worse. Lots of unfinished or uncolored detail because I'm still working out the rest of the body and haven't fully settled on the idea of the "hat/jacket" look. I'm trying to go for a look kind of similar to those ai helper character designs that were all over 2000s media . You know the ones that WEREN'T just blue or green holograms of naked humans. Seriously there's a weird amount of those even in current media. Cheaper to design I guess. Anyways I'm still kinda glad I came up with the idea of having the horns basically split off at a point making them into kind of robot cat ears. Really obvious choice to make, but it just works. yes I know this is all extremely fucking stupid but it's to stave off the madness of stagnation.

EDIT TO AVOID REDUNDANCY: Been spending possibly the last like three hours or so on this fucking rough sketch doing minor tweaks and shit on the upper body and I still can't figure out what to do with the lower half.

Came up with this but it might fit sleeves better than actual pant legs.Issue is I already had no sleeves on the one image emote for the chatbot with visible hands so it's gotta stay sleeveless on the default look.

Essentially my idea is to work in elements from the monkey guy my username comes from while also trying to keep true-ish enough to both the ai look and the Homestuck character's actual outfit while also not being the outfit of any of the three involved directly. Weird ass challenge honestly but I'm not aiming for something super easy here.

Hey, all. Wanted to let people know a thread has been created to offer some neat drawing ideas and some challenges to help others grow as artists. Saw some posts made in the past by people that seem interested in wanting something like that. The Kiwi Coloring Corner has an upcoming challenge starting Jan 6th for people to get involved and hone their autism. Mark the thread as watched so you get some kind of notification when it begins or however that works. Sounds like blatant shill bullshit and it absolutely is.

Portrait of the best Sonichu character, I used a photo of Billy Idol for reference plus an assortment of portraits painted by Glenn Fabry- he's who I really want to study right now. Background is watercolor, everything else is alcohol marker, colored pencil, and various pens.
