"Post your Art" Thread

how do you deal with like being stale i have no drive to improve but i want to but laziness hits and i dont draw outside of the occasional stupid doodle, best ive been doing is reading comics and remembering what i like about the art style like those old batman shows

I recently got into a kick of recreating the works of Nicholas Roerich. I recently made a copy of the Song of Shambala:

These were done throughout 2 weeks of work on and off. In general I like to try to draw some mermaids for May, though I started a little earlier this year just because.

Not my usual process. FIFTY (49) layers... I managed to keep them all neat and tidy so it wasn't too bad. Was a bit frustrating at times but I also learned a lot!

(Slight edit to fix a mistake no one would notice but me )

your rendering is awesome, the shit you did with the eva and sky is honestly really cool and unique, definitely keep it up. if you're looking for critique I would say the side profile is a bit wonky and the hair looks very flat and detail less in comparison to the rest of the piece, I think adding more strands might help fix that. still good shit though

Thank you! You're right about the strands. I wanted a very sharp contrast between the Eva and Asuka, so the flatness was intentional; but the strands would help render the piece better while still keeping the stylistic choice
Side profiles I just need to grind out I guess
