And also i finally fully moved in today and im one of the boxes found a bunch of old ass drawings of mine from like 10 years ago. A lot of them are redraws from already existing art, but i didnt knew what i was doing really.
Still dont.
experimenting converting physical drawing into digital for coloring
would probably be a little better if I had an actual scanner instead of using ipad camera but overall satisfied with the process.
There was some discussion in gen chat regarding Clifford, the big red dog and his lifespan. The fact of the matter is Labradors aren't built to be 25 feet tall / 12.5 tons. I thought an interesting thing to draw would be imagining Clifford, the big red dog with adaptations to his stature as though these are evolved traits.
Here is my list of changes.
For starters I've scaled his eyes and ears down, those would not scale linearly with Clifford, the big red dog's size in a biological organism, and even then Clifford, the big red dog in the show/popular children's book series takes some scientific creative liberties, to say the least.
I assumed he would need bigger nostrils for oxygen intake, 12.5 tons is a lot of blood to oxygenate.
The sheer quantity of fur Clifford, the big red dog has in the various forms of Clifford, the big red dog media would bake him to death unless he evolved in a temporate/arctic region. It is reduced significantly to accommodate a presumably warmer region. I have left a small amount of his signature red hair so that he is recognizable as Clifford, the big red dog..
Clifford, the big red dog's bone structure would leave him with dysplasia in most of his joints. I have attempted to draw Clifford, the big red dog with a larger skeletal structure - not sure if that is evident from the drawing. (skill issue) Even then I don't believe Clifford, the big red dog's species would live very long.
I have relocated joints in his hind legs in an effort to stabilize his weight.
I assumed he's black underneath the fur.
Admittedly some inspiration has been taking from savanna fauna.
Imagine he's 25 feet I didn't want to draw a background.
I appreciate your time reading my post regarding the matter.
