I've been falling for the loomis meme lately.
everyone is shilling loomis as a gold standard, but I personally find his work stiff and limiting.
Vilppu and Morpho are far better for learning.

I feel like I'm constantly lacking something (art styles, anatomy, etc.). I know I'm stuck on perspective practices and drawing what I can see.
Drawing what you see is the best approach unironically. All you have to do is to train your eye and the hand will follow.
So what if its not perfectly accurate, the most important and the most intriguing thing about an artwork is the artists unique perspective. Everybody sees the world differently.
Francis Bacon is a great example. He himself admitted that he can’t draw for shit, and that he just copied photos for his paintings. And what a marvelous pieces of art he produced.

Edit: I swear that /ic/ and their ngmi shit is a fucking cancer. There are great resources to be find there and sometimes someone gives useful advice, but otherwise it’s just shit. 99% shit
