"Post your Art" Thread

I make software for other people, it doesn't make me a programmer.
ANd those are not animals. but abominations
That analogy is pretty irrelevant. I mean, Walt Disney created Mickey Mouse, but does that make him a furry? That would be pretty weird, now that I think about it...
Anyway, a lot of the fandom is openly into furry kinks which I find really gross, so maybe I'm a semi-furry? I only have half my foot in the fandom? All I do that could be considered furryesque is draw colorful animals lol

Jesus, dude, stop getting so defensive over some sparkledogs.

And if it draws like a furry and spergs like a furry, well...

Don't even go there. The difference between Walt Disney and your characters are his are proof of concept. What you are doing is completely different. Yours are little more than shallow reflections of yourself - you're not fooling anyone here. The work you are doing is to insert yourself and your spergy creations into a a world and play it out as an elaborate fantasy.

Sounds like someone we all know and love right?

There is a reason why this picture, done in your sophomore year, is literally the best thing in your entire goddamn gallery. Because it is not sickly and self indulgent, it doesn't reek of your stupid anthropomorphasized and idealized animal bullshit, and it tells an (albeit simple) story as a self portrait.

We have people here who anthropomorphasize animals and do furry art they do it very well, but they also aren't giving their proof of concept as "IM DRAWING COLORFUL ANIMALS BUT I'M NOT A FURRY HURR DURR". No-one gives a fuck. Your art tells no story except you reuse bases ad infinitum and cannot do more than slap decorations on an animal form to make it 'interesting'.

Nothing I say has been a compliment, it has been an expression of disappointment. I would expect the motivations for the creation of the shit you posted from a 15 year old, not someone who is 20.

Youre right though, my art is primarily immature, and I fully admit that. I've just been so stuck drawing the same characters and same kind of art for so long, it's all I really know how to do and even if I try to deviate from it, I end up going back. I've been trying to make some changes in my life recently, realizing I need to let go of some of the things that have held me back, such as my art style. Do you have any suggestions for improvement? What do you think? I would really appreciate some constructive feedback.

some TF2 ocs being at peace after battle. One on the right is my BLU solder, RED medic on the left belongs to my friend. Had to upload from my tumblr because the file was too big to directly upload here. I spent way longer on this than I had intended to.

First off, some oldschool art from way back (some fanart and stuff from school/college)...
