Fairly happy with this UV layout, but we'll see how I feel when it comes time to texture
I wish you the very best of luck with that. After getting a good grasp on Blender, I'm now starting to slowly get into UV unwrapping and creating my own textures. I bought the Steam edition of Substance Painter recently in pursuit of that. So far I am personally offended that I have to hold the ALT button to pan and rotate around models 😡
I dont even know what im doing right now.png

Yeah, love hate relationship with Substance myself, since I've been trying to migrate to a more Free and Open Source pipeline where possible.

Substance works fine under Valve Proton, but having to use the ALT key is a pain all on it's own using default settings on XFCE and some other desktop environments. (Alt+LMB+Drag moves windows, can be disabled/changed)

No new art for now, just a lot of half-baked sketches at the moment.

Question for all you digital artists, has anyone done much using manga studios? Ive had a short horror comic drawn up [traditional ink on A3 bristol boards] for a few years with the intention of teaching my self how to use a cintiq and manga studios. Turns out my attention span for computers last no longer than 30 mins before I wanna throw everything in the bin. Id love to collaborate with someone whos good with midtones, light/shadow and lettering.

I love this, So intricate.

Do you mean Clip Studio Paint?

I've only got an iPad but I flip flip between CSP and Procreate constantly. I couldn't get on with Clip Studio at all when I first downloaded it. What worked for me was just allowing myself to play around and doodle in it for a while without any pressure on learning all the functions ASAP. Customising the interface and the keyboard shortcuts helped massively too.

Sorry yes clip studio, I think I wouldve been better learning the bare basics and drawing the whole thing in cs instead of trying to retroactively digitise the whole thing. I just dont seem to spend the same time infront of a computer that I can drawing traditionally.

Would love to see your stuff mate.

Manga Studio/Clip Studio is the best desktop drawing app I’ve used. That being said, as an amateur artist I very much prefer just drawing on my iPad.

Clip studio is great, just not so great for tablets. Celsys decided it was appropriate to only give subscription licensing as an option for Android and iOS.

Infinite Painter is probably the better choice on android, and procreate for iOS...

Oh, have you ever taken Krita for a spin?

Heyo, sorry sorry, I know it's been a while. I didn't forgot about you or anything I've just been busy and on an extensive art burn out so I decided to hard-focus on making game instead, I even did an open beta weekend thing on the 22nd of january which went pretty well!

But I am here for a reason, and that reason is i finally had some stuff I wanted to draw, So after drawing a rough concept in an art book I whipped out my old tablet and got to work, I'll do shading and FX tomorrow here's just flat color for now!

The only gripe I really have is the far left image having really inconsistent sleeve sizes. It'd be easy enough to fix so maybe I wil tomorrow before I move onto shading everything and adding pretty effects.

I've never done sleeves quite this poofy before so bare with me!
