Btw i have a question: what do people usually use to digitize the drawings? Gimp photoshop?
extra late response but usually, I use a scanner and then I just fuck with the light curves to give it a xerox effect.

somewhat old trad animation.
MatiHampster.gif
Animation I did for @Null, he was searching for someone to animate the hampster walking away at the end of the news section, it's been long enough that either it's not used, or there's a better artist for it, unless i'm not supposed to share it, if that's the case, oops.

I'm not a great artist, but I felt like I should post this thing I painted a year or two ago I never finished it because I hated how it turned out. I remember getting flustered and embarrassed when I showed it others and I ended up wanting to just destroy it. I found it in a closet recently and after viewing the Kiwi coloring corner thread I was inspired to post my work here. The canvas isn't in great shape and I'm pretty sure this was my first time ever using actual paint brushes since COVID and trying to mix colors on my own. I think the smudges are from when I was trying to clean up but I forget.

I still can't look at it without feeling ashamed of myself. I've had no art training at all, but I want to do better than this. So, I guess that starts by showing you niggers what I can do.
I painted again not as long ago as a wedding gift for a family member, and I was inspired by Vinesauce Joel's videos of recreating Bob Ross paintings on Mario paint. I don't remember what episode I watched but the piece didn't turn out great and I was so ashamed of myself. I know it's hidden somewhere. But I'll try to post it when I find it.

Ok listen, i do genuinely believe that ability to draw is purely a skill that can be developed and talent is a myth that was created as an excuse for people to give up after they try for the first time and just not bother with it.
My earlier stuff looked like shit even if they were redraws of already existing art and i still not good with colors and especially painting. but i still have tested myself in it at least a couple of times.
Then after trying some more you'll find style that you'll like and start sharpening it.
Its just time, patients and dedication. well and willingness to learn
theres a ton of free material you can read if you want to improve and its generally pretty helpful. the only hard part as a beginner is not get discouraged when something doesn't go right. but the more you try the less it happens.
so the hidden truth is just keep going retard and eventually you'll make it
not literal the first paintings, i don't have pictures of those so sadly not the best example

and thats what i got after a couple of months practicing

which is still a redraw of a MTG card but still probably the best I've got with acrylics

Personally , I find acrylics kinda hard to work with. Watercolors can be a lot more forgiving. I’ll also draw out the image I intend to paint with soft pencil first then paint it in. Hope you decide to keep painting.

[Not really, most of graphic tablet manufacturers don't have interchangable pen tips, you have to look at your model and buy appropriate tips from either company's online store or some marketplace like Amazon.
