spooky avatar for October. However, I was extremely busy that month that I could not find time to draw something for her.
I think while I was conceptualizing spooky profile pictures for other folks such as Relinquish, Null, etc. I had an idea for CoolFool's pfp when I saw multiple users in the Farms use the star character of Junji Ito's horror manga
Tomie that I wanted to incorporate that into the CoolFool's pfp design. So, I decided to use one of the first users of the site with a Tomie pfp
@Xenomorph, who unfortunately left the forum in late April 2025.
Basically, I thought of two Tomies, one belonging to CoolFool and the other belonging to Xenomorph. I decided to place the setting that CoolFool's Tomie is on a date and that Xenomorph's Tomie bursts out of her stomach (like Xenmorph's namesake in chestburster stage from the
Alien franchise). The setting for a date is to make fun of CoolFool with a
disproven theory why her Duolicious date did not go out well that made her disappear for a weak and caused the Farms to panic. It also makes sense biology-wise since Tomie could be literally any type of living thing, from fungus to reptile (Ito stated that lizard's ability to regenerate their tails inspired him to write Tomie) etc. hence why I had the chestburster thing going on in the pfp. Ultimately, I thought it would be cool for the pfp to also be a nod to another Kiwi user to honor her.
It sucked that I could only finish this in November (this one took two-three weeks in contrast to the other spooky pfps, which took only a week or less), but I finally found time and put a lot of effort into drawing this sketch, way more than the other pfps. Maybe on the next time I host the Spooky Avatar showcase in 2026, I can put this pfp up on display.
@CoolFool, I hope you enjoy the pfp to its fullest. I ultimately kept my promise.
