Back in the pre-historic days before the Internet, there once was a booklet pubished by The Church of the SubGenius called "High Weirdness By Mail", where fellow SubGenii could get in touch with and troll various cranks, kooks, and nutbags through the postal system.

One classic group of Pre-Internet Lolcows" (PIL) was know as the "Agressive Christianity Missions Training Corps", a paramilitary group of fundies who referred to Jesus as their "Commander In Chief", and wore military uniforms. Think of them as the Salvation Army meets Handmaid's Tale.

If you were able to successfully troll this group, they would send you all sorts of ACMTC crap like their "battle flag" and assorted videos on cassette, like these examples by their leader, "General" Deborah:

Aggressive Christianity Missionary Training Corps has been described as a cult, as seen in the documentary "I Escaped a Cult" (available for streaming on Netflix.)

Much of their "ministry" money was blown on flags, paraphernalia, and postage being sent to trolls during the 80's & 90's.

Her videos would make a great drinking game. Do a shot every time she says God. Wheee!

Was Jace's Dad a member? I can see where Jace inherited that military passion.

I feel like there's an enormous overlap between pre-internet lolcows and religious cults.
