Time for a new thread to discuss current VPNs, since the previous ones are out of date.

What VPNs allow the best access with the least risk, and don't cost a ton?

What VPNs have special features or access that may be more useful?

What VPNs should you definitely avoid?

Protonmail gave the IP of a french climate activist to the police. I'd go easy on endorsing them.
He wasn't using ProtonVPN. He was using his home IP. If he was using ProtonVPN, they would've had nothing to give when subpoenaed.

My understanding is that Mullvad is only for complete privacy schizos or people who've been debanked, and is too restrictive for most use cases. Every time I hear Jersh talk about it on stream, it's in a negative light because it's too slow or breaks a website.

It's the browser that's excessive unless you tweak its settings significantly. You can use the VPN service without using the Mullvad browser, although the two are designed to work together.

Not its because he use shit settings has nothing to do with vpns also you really shouldn't really be linking your identity to a vpn if the goal of the vpn is to hide your ip.

It doesn't matter proton mail or vpn they lied about not keeping logs before about the email service

Proton or Mullvad. Everything else is globohomo spyware.

Mullvad is very fast, IPs aren't blocked by games, and it's cheap. Never used Proton personally.

Slightly unrelated, but I remember people promoting gaming vpn before,I still have no idea can a vpn helps anything related to ping.

Mullvad (with mullvad browser) if you want the most privacy. Mullvad supports DAITA, shadowsocks, mutihop, and even quantum resistance, among other features. It was literally raided by the cops one time. They couldn't find any logs, because there apparently weren't any.

Brits are packing into these servers this last little while and they aren't as snappy. Get your shit together and start the beheadings you ponces.
