This is kind of late but the unseen footage was very interesting, especially the one video of him driving around at night seething about the types of young people he hated. I honestly didn't think there was going to be any new information about this cow. But every time there is something new that comes to light it always paints a more vivid picture of his inner workings and what was really going on around him leading up to his magnum opus of temper tantrums.
I find it weird too with the dogs getting in a fight and him saying at the beginning I have to film this in his robotic Patrick Bateman style of speaking. Why did he care to film two dogs fighting? It is interesting with people like this what you can glean from their subconscious thought process by what draws their attention. Also the small dog trying to bite off his fingers knew he was a demented faggot clearly.
He divulged a lot of detailed information about his life through his manifesto and the new video evidence adds some extra weight to some of his brooding. He is probably not a very reliable narrator in his writings so the footage and hacked emails as well as testimony from those who interacted with Elliot Rodger makes understanding the whole picture a lot easier especially surrounding particular events he highlighted in his writings.
The kind of things we don't know for example is did he really attack couples by throwing coffee at them or what actually happened when he tried to push those women from the ledge and got his ass beat? No one has come forward to shed any light on these incidents in detail so we have to take Elliot's word for it. We can assume something happened with the ledge incident since he had to visit the doctor and be put in a cast. Why his parents didn't pull him out of Isla Vista then I don't know but he lied a lot to his parents so to assume what he is saying in his manifesto is true needs to be taken with a large pinch of salt. Thats why I really appreciate this footage being made available to help give us a clearer understanding of this tragic and bizarre story.
I was kind of hoping the last video was going to be a supreme gentleman blooper where he stumbles on his anime villain monologue and says ah fuck I messed up take two but its just his iconic everlasting meme. It amazes me that this guy could have been anything if he wasn't such a screwball. He could have been a film maker like his dad or a photographer, the way he composed this shot seems deliberate but then again it was his coup de grâce so he probably wanted that spectacular golden hour ray of light for his god-like visage. If Elliot Rodger wrote a movie script and composed it in his signature style it would be hilariously bad garbage, the fact this guy even existed with his off the chart narcissistic solipsistic world view is hard enough to believe. And to think I'm the same age as him if he was alive today he'd be thirty years old, hopefully institutionalized, dead by suicide or in jail without a trail of victims.
